I've been hating on this site for some time, and it's not about to end. However, instead of putting this in the lounge, I thought it deserved it's own thread.

I hate Buzzfeed, I've mentioned it several times. It's soft-left, progressive, cultural marxism and it's insanely popular. Like most of these sites. I think Scorpion and MattC mentioned (on the Tumblr convention thread) that we shouldn't worry about SJWs etc because they're all freaks and don't actually function in the real world. Well, this is an extremely popular site and it consistently pushes the stuff we're opposed to. And normal people eat it up.

Even when some women said they were against feminism, Buzzfeed's editorial stance (see bottom gif) was to either dismiss them, or say they didn't know what feminism meant.

Anyway, back to the 'article' itself. Surprise, surprise, number one is Beyonce, and her 'best quote' is, wait for it:

I've looked at the user stats before: the user base is overwhelmingly white, privileged girls attending university, whom, despite being 'educated', can only be bothered reading information presented in a 'short text / gif' combination. Basically, it's a glorified picture book.

I doubt they're changing thought - more, attracting women who already think like that.

I'm so sick of this blue pill online alternative media. I came across this site called .Mic last week. I think they have some pretty good articles on random topics I find interesting. So I added them to my facebook feed and it's just all this constant shit about gender and feminism and gays. I just got sick of it and unliked the page. I had Big Think in my FB feed too even though I rarely click on the articles anymore. I see something about Apple disallowing the word "vagina" to be engraved on an Ipad but allowing the word "penis" to be and how sexist it is. I unliked that too. People got nothing better to talk about. Then there's a site I have a love/hate relationship called Truthdig. They are very left-wing, but I like their articles on economics, science, the war and fighting some of the stupid shit that comes out of the Tea Party. But then lately it's juts be article after article about how terrible you are if you don't want to accept illegal aliens in the country. I had enough and unliked them too. 3 pages gone within a minute.

I think there is a big gap in what they think men like to read, and actually think, and what they SAY they think when in the company of women. Hence why you get an overly feminized group think with these 'gender equal' (sex equal) alt. media sites.

It's also why women get so wound up online. It's the first time they've been in an environment where they're properly exposed to what men actually think, how they talk, and when they aren't self-censoring. They're shocked by the bluntness and non-herd mentality.

Whilst I love the internet, it's also seen the rise of hyper progressivism due to giving freaks a platform, and a platform for young leftists to get brownie points by championing their causes.

the list should tell you exactly what to think of it. The reason for Ms. Minaj's appearance on the list? She does not care what men and society think about her. Well - the bum sitting drunk in his feces may not care either, but that does not make him hero-worthy.


Most important question? If all of those Super-women would disappear tomorrow and become housewives for life, would their contributions be truly be missed in society? Or would they contribute more positively to the lives of their families?

Now take any cable-guy, technician, scientist, specialized worker - if some of them went missing, whole projects would be delayed or in some instances scrapped. At least customers would be pissed off, because they had to wait a week longer.

Pop media is just a cesspool of progressive liberal propaganda. No news here, but I appreciate the rant and my sentiments are in line with the OP exactly. The folks who run Buzzfeed are smart - they know that the majority of people providing traffic to the internet in this country are white middle-class youth, and the majority of white middle-class youth love this shit so they perpetuate it. It generates tons of ad revenue and they make a killing.
