This is what a national hysteria in full bloom looks like.

The picture of this dude's cock is like a sacred taboo object in some primitive ancient culture. Because he is a "child" of 17, it is "child porn" and so everyone that comes into contact with this magical object is tainted. The presence of that pic on the phone of a slut who has sucked that very dick a hundred times is a crime that someone has to pay for, either he or she or both. But now the cops and the hospital where they took the dude had the misfortune of being ordered by some idiot to take another pic, so they are tainted as well, since they can be at any time considered to be "in possession of child porn". The safest thing of all to would to quarantine the entire town and destroy all its internet connections and cell phone towers, so that these terrible taboo pictures could not spread and contaminate other parts of the state and country with their magically evil essence.

It is utter insanity, a secular form of a quasi-religious hysteria. And it is destroying the lives of innocent people all over the country.

There is crazy level 1. which is bringing him to a hospital to get pictures of his junk and then there is crazy level #2 that they need pictures of his junk in 'ready' mode...what are they just going to inject him with a bunch of cialis and see what happens? Its like a bunch of cops, nurses and doctors will have to get charged with child abuse, porn etc. just by exercising the search warrant.

My only hope if this goes down is that its like that case where the hospital refused to do some sort of exam requested by the police on a guy that did nothing wrong. In this case I hope no hospital says 'yeah sure, we'll jack this kid up on boner pills so you can take pictures of his dick'

Because the person ordering it (the judge I suppose) is a pervert. Not just ham-handed in administering the law, but an actual pervert who gets off on the sexual/power dynamics even if he is not a practicing homosexual pedophile, which he may be.

All the more reasons for fathers to tell their sons to lawyer up ASAP. This kid was coerced into this by the police who threatened him and being a kid he caved.

It is both parties. The Democrats might even be worse about it simply because they pander to women far more.

We had Obama come out and push for schools to investigate college sexual assault claims harder. Then yesterday we had another Democrat push for more college campus sexual assault investigations... Claire McCaskill.

Add to it, the thread created yesterday about the left party in New Zealand wanting to change their rape laws to be guilty until proven innocent.

Ever wonder why we despise Jezebel and feminist writers? This is why.

Their articles about "rape culture" and their efforts to expand the definition of rape didn't have any direct influence on what these wacko officers want to do.

But they have set up a cultural climate in which it's possible and the government is making it happen.

We now live in an environment very similar to the "satanic panic" of the '80s. Except this time they're not going after "evil" daycare providers or heavy metal bands. They're coming for you and me.

Examples? Last week in the Washington Post, Alyssa Rosenberg wrote about Robin Thicke: "Singing “I gotta treat her right, I gotta cherish her for life,” or any variation thereof, is not proof of self-awareness or artistic insight. It is a massive cliche, and one with sometimes-deadly implications for the women who are urged by violent or emotionally abusive partners that this time it will be different."

Got that? There's a connection between a song and "violent or emotionally abusive partners." Just like there was a connection between devil worship and Judas Priest. This is how you create a moral panic and this is why law enforcement now seek to perform "Brave New World"-like medical procedures on teenage boys not yet convicted of a crime.

In the '70s people would streak and crowds would laugh. Now a dick pic is a felony. This is a major, major cultural shift and not a good one.

Buzzfeed has released the teenage boy's name, so I'll link to them and place it here, so it can be forever associated with Alyssa Rosenberg of the Washington Post.

His name is Trey Simms and decades from now, when this is all a nostalgic laugh, I'd like future generations to know it was Alyssa Rosenberg and writers like her who helped create a climate of anti-male sexual hysteria that made his life hell and caused law enforcement's overreach.

So his name has already been released, which means that thanks to Google he'll be associated with this...forever. On top of that if convicted he'll be required to register as a sex-offender. This kid's life could effectively be over before it even really got started.

This case reminded me of another one that was on the forum not too long ago- Christian Adamek, the teen who committed suicide after he got brought up on legal charges for streaking at a high school football game. He too faced being put on a sex-offender registry. He was 15 at the time of his death.
