I had a Thai guy do that to me once with a serious girlfriend in Thailand. Random text of him lying in a bed next to her sleeping - him with a little smirk on his face.

She was sitting next to me in an internet cafe when the text came in. I took one look, logged out, and said, "Come on - we're going upstairs."

She could tell I was irked but I didn't show her the pic until we were in private. From there it was an hour of explaining to her that it was time for her to go home with her bawling like she was on her deathbed (Thai women are good at that).

She claimed he was an old boyfriend that had stopped by her work recently and jacked the # out of her phone and that they were old pictures, and he even called me and backed her on that with apologies. But even though I went ahead and made up with her, I could never be sure. It also bothered me that an ex had been around her while we were dating - enough to jack my number out of her phone. Not cool.

He kept calling my phone one night all drunk and I picked it up and hollered at him, asked him if he wanted to die in Thai (I was buzzed and pretty worked up) and said I was going to come over to his house with all my Thai buddies to make sure we fought one-on-one. He cringed like a bitch. Only time I ever threatened a Thai like that, but him calling my phone to fuck with me was the ultimate disrespect, in my opinion.

"Don't ever call my phone. If you want to talk, call your fucking girlfriend," I told him. "She's yours now." As she just sat there and cringed.

Given that she saw the guy at all, I could never fully trust her again and it played a big role in me kicking her to the curb. Pretty fucked for her if she was really innocent in the matter - was a real douchebag move on the guy's part to purposely fuck with her relationship like that. I guess he was in love.

Sorry to disappoint you guys. My poor little heart was involved - I dated this girl for a couple years and the pic was really out of left field. And I was in a bad position because at this time I was hiding from some dangerous people who even had the local pigs trying to hunt me down and preparing to flee the country - I was not in strong emotional place.

If it makes you feel any better, I did take the sex to freakish new levels when we started fucking again. She was trying her hardest to win me back, so anything goes became the norm, and I took my liberties for sure.

Also, I hardly have a freakishly large white dick. haha Nor a camera on my phone to photograph it...

As for the story in the OP, if the woman led me to believe she was a virgin or something, and I thought that's what I bought with the marriage, yeah, I'd probably kick her to the curb. That's dishonesty at a major level.

If it was just my wife and I already knew she had other lovers before we hooked up, no, I wouldn't ruin a marriage over some jealous loser ("beta," if we must) sending me old photos.

Assuming, of course, that I believed the pics were new rather than recent. That's the tricky part, especially when your emotions start running high.

How do you ask someone if they want to die in Thai? "Mueng ja'aow mai?" has been my go to line when needed but it's getting stale.

Actually, I always said it with a different pronoun that sounds something like "Mueng" instead of "Khun."

I think "mueng" is a really impolite way to address someone, but not entirely sure. It could just be from Chiang Mai dialect too. I saw a guy say this phrase in a Thai movie one time while holding a gun to some monk's head, and I started hollering it at my Thai friends when we were drinking, and it always got a laugh.

That was the first (and only) time I ever said it to someone in a serious manner. There's almost nothing worse you can say to a Thai; you'd be better off calling them a water buffalo (which you should never do).

Of course, asking someone if they want to die in any culture is probably a bad idea, but in American culture, people often say "I'm going to kill you, etc" when they're just exchanging fighting words. In Thai culture, even making a joke about death is super taboo because they're so suspicious. So a threat like that is way overboard.

Fortunately for me, the guy in question was a coward and probably didn't have a lot of power.

Yea, "Mueng" is just the (very) impolite version of "khun".

Cursing in Thai around friends when you barely speak it always gets a laugh, most of the first words I learned here outside formal classes at the Uni were curse words. "Mueng pen hia rai wa?" "Arai kong mueng wa?"

I always make sure to remember phrases that could be useful in gaming/making people laugh/etc. Like lines from popular songs "Mia mee, mia p'tong maa...", or pop culture/memes "Mai mee arai maak!.

My Thai is just decent, but if I'm teasing a girl, ordering food, or calling someone a cunt you'd think I was fluent.
