You know what the absolute best thing a guy ever did for me when I had a hard break up with a girl and wanted her back? He said, "You're single? CONGRATULATIONS" and then proceeded to give me a humongous fucking high five.

I felt better from that point onwards. I'm a big proponent of move on. If she catches up okay, but it's unlikely and usually only happens if you move on anyway.

Well, she just sent me a multi text four paragraph diatribe about how she wanted to give me an explanation for her distance this weekend and someone from her past has come back in the picture. ( she went "home" for the weekend about 2 hours away as she goes to school here in my town....that's where this guy is....back in her town ) She wants to see if there's something still there with him and she respects me too much to lead me on or disrespect me. Said she's still crazy about me yada yada.

I just sent a text that said hmu if it doesn't work out.

I suppose it was cool of her to offer such a long explanation instead of just never hearing from her again.

Not sure if it was my potentially "stalkerish" activity that drove her to this guy....or he was already in the hopper. I suspect the latter. I may have been over estimating the fact that she thought I was stalking her at the coffeeshop. No way to know.

Screw it....I'll go radio silence for a month or more....game other chicks. If she comes back.....who knows. Life goes on.

Yea it did seem a bit extreme to be put off by you so easily. But then I wouldn't put it past some girls to drop a guy for similar frivolous reasons.

How did your other dates go?
