For those of you that don't know him, Wallach played Tuco in The Good, The Bad, And The Ugly, one of the greatest westerns ever made.

He was born in 1915.

Woodrow Wilson was president when this guy was born. People where driving Model T's.

It's truly incredible when you think of the number of historical events he lived through...

- The Great Depression
- Two world wars, Vietnam, Cold-war era
- The Space Race
- Cuban Missile Crisis
- The 60s counter-culture movement
- Invention of modern computers, cell phones, the Internet

I wonder what it must have been like to watch the culture change from when he was a child to modern-day America.

Great character actor. He was amazing in good, bad and ugly - my favourite western of all time.

Like Ernest Borgnine and Mickey Rooney, one of the last of the WW II vets to be still working as a Hollywood actor. Maybe the last.

Sickening, I should imagine. Whilst America had already begun its ascent, and has not yet completed its descent, he literally lived during its rise and fall, be it economically, geopolitically, culturally, or anything else. Pretty interesting to see that within one lifetime.

RIP Eli Wallach. And a sincere thank you for your performnce in The Good The Bad and The Ugly. One of the MOST incredible cinema performances EVER when he played Tuco in the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly.

I dont know if its been mentioned but the 3 spaghetti Westerns:

A FISTFULL OF DOLLARS
FOR A FEW DOLLARS MORE
THE GOOD THE BAD AND THE UGLY

are some of the best films I have ever seen in this lifetime. Your testosterone levels will be jacked after watching these films. Lee Van Cleef and Clint Eastwood all give incredible performances along with Eli Wallach

I'd add "Once Upon A Time In The West" to the other Leone Westerns. Even without Clint, Lee or Eli, it's a masterpiece.
