Logistics vs. Money/Time
Hey Guys,

I am about to move to a new city. My bankroll is enough to pay any of the mentioned rents.

Old City (I will leave):
  • a nice bachelor pad, nothing special
  • Pricey but ok
  • time to city-center/nightlife:
[**] tram: 20 min commute including walking to station, no night trains/long waiting time for alternatives
    [**] bike: 25 min
    [**] walk: 60 min
  • Bad logistics?
No opportunities to day game, except grocery store
    Suburbs basically

New City (I will move to):
City-Center Option
  • a very nice bachelor pad near city-center
  • costs: high
  • time to city-center/nightlife:
    [**] 0
  • time to work:
    [**] car: 20 min
    [**] tram: 20 min
    [**] bike: 20-30 min
  • Great logistics: tram station, night life at the front door?, day game opportunities,
  • transit time to work daily Worst Case, 5 x 2 x 30 min = 300 min / week
  • Premium Price for improved logistics, ~200-300 $ / month
  • Increased opportunity costs for car or tram tickets, especially in winter
Near Work Option
  • a nice bigger bachelor pad near workplace
  • costs: medium high
  • time to city-center/nightlife:
[**] tram: 20 min commute including walking to station, no night trains/long waiting time for alternatives
    [**] bike: 25 min
    [**] walk: 45-60 min
  • time to work:
    [**] bike: 3 min
    [**] walk: 12 min
  • Bad logistics?, No opportunities to day game, except grocery store
  • transit time to work daily, 5 x 2 x 5 min = 50 min / week
  • 250 min or 4,17 hours gained during the week, 1-2 h lost during weekend for shitty logistics, Makes 3 hours more time
  • Summer: Drunk biking/taxi is the only possible transportation after 12 pm.
  • Gaming in winter season, will most likely not happen. Taxi is the only possible transportation after 12 pm for the way home.
I am leaning towards "game"-logistics.
No hot chicks live in the suburbs.

What would your choice be?

RE: Logistics vs. Money/Time
best logistics for game + get a new job closer to your place. Commuting to work is a massive waste of time. Time spent commuting to work is better spent on your own business that'll make you real money.

I'd go City Center, logistics is king in game. Although it depends on your priorities, if money is more of a focus then you might be better off somewhere else.

I will move for a new job. I chose the city for its lifestyle and got a job there. Working for another employer wouldn't improve the logistics problem anyway.

The further you are away from the club, the more likely chance of her changing her mind.

I live close to work which is a blessing, I live in the burbs which is a curse.

I don't care what city you are in, your opportunities increase tenfold if your logistics are tight.

RE: Logistics vs. Money/Time
I had this exact scenario happen. I lived downtown during school and things were much better for me game wise. I moved midtown for a job and it hasn't been as easy. If I could do it over again, I would have stayed downtown. I found even having the energy after work to head to a friends place downtown was tough. That said if you rely on the internet/apps it's a negligible difference, but I enjoy nightclub game far more.

Edit: For day game stay as close to the centre as possible.

How much is your time worth?
The money you will save on gas, transit travel time and the overall fatigue of a longer commute to work.

How important is new pussy for you? A few years ago i put it above everything else. Now i rarely do night game because i'm in money making mode and keeping costs down it more important than hunting girls in the night time.

Living far from nightlife will not only be a big cockblock to pull, but will also mean you'll find yourself going out at night and daygaming much less than otherwise, which is another, invisible cockblock. A 20-30 minute commute to work is pretty good, if you can afford the rent you have no excuse not to choose the city centre option.

Be practical. (More) Pussy is nice, but if you're aiming to save a lot and get out of the rat race, the approx. $600 per month will go a long way. I'd rather invest into the future.

If you've never lived in a city center with tight logistics...try a short term lease/rent an apt for a week off AirBnb and see if YOU like it. A trial run can make all the difference.

For only $200-300 a month more I'd for sure take the city center. Every aspect of social life will be 10x better

RE: Logistics vs. Money/Time
Speaking from experience:

I live directly in the dowtown of my city. I can walk out my door and into the front door of 6 popular bars within 30 seconds. A 3 three minute walk opens up about 5-6 more possibilities. A 5 minute walk opens up two popular night clubs and another couple bars.

I also drive about 20 minutes to work.

Would I give up my logistics to be closer to work? Hell No.

Let me break down some of the positives of living in the action:

1. Your logistics are tigher than butt rape when it comes to first dates. I hit the same bar for all my first dates. It's right out my front door. The bartender knows whats up. I get them attracted then say something along the lines of: "I gotta run, gotta work early, but we can check out that really cool thing I told you about earlier. It will only take a few minutes, my place is right upstairs"

2. You have the luxury of maneuverability. You enter Bar A and its full of dudes, bounce to Bar B. Is Bar B the same, well lets hit Bar C. Are all bars from A-Z shitty, its time for street game. No one on the streets (what the fuck is this, the zombie apocalypse?) you say? Well then throw some texts out and invite them for drinks.

3. You will get drunk texts/calls from regulars/girls that you fucked but went cold occasionally. They are out on the town, drunk and horny, well they know my comfortable ass apartment with my charming self is only a block or two away. Fun tip: Don't respond to them right away, wait until around last call. If you make them wake, they always assume your with another girl, it makes them obssess about you for the next couple hours. Then a quick phone call at last call normally seals the deal.

4. You have instant access to the after party. This is huge for party girls who aren't ready to stop yet when the bars close. You bounce to your place and continue the party.

5. You will get used to rolling dolo really fast. Get questioned why your rolling dolo: "Honey, I live upstairs/next block over. Your on my turf now"

6. Finally, you never have to worry about driving! You never have to limit your alcohol due to having to drive later. DUIs just arent worth fucking with.

Only thing that sucks about downtown living is parking and getting shit into and out of your pad. Moving in will be a pain in the ass. Learn to buy groceries in small trips every 4-5 days.

RE: Logistics vs. Money/Time
Forgot to add that you will frequently run into girls you banged. For some people it can be awkward as hell. I just think its hilarious.

For example: just the other night I walked into a bar and a redhead that I banged a few times a couple months prior was sitting there surrounded by three dudes. I caught eyes, smirked, she looked away. I just laughed and went up and started to talking a couple of blondes at the bar. Ended up walking out of the bar with the both the blondes en route to my place. I made sure I glanced back and smirked again at the redhead.

Nothing ended up happening with the blondes. One was down but the other was a typical cockblock. Oh well, can't win them all.

RE: Logistics vs. Money/Time
City Center - Hands down (*a 20 minute commute to work is reasonable)

Have to admit, that I lucked up on my current place in the center of town

There is a popular bar in my building, along with a convenience store (2 pickup spots)

Since I've lived there (3yrs), they have constructed a Community College next door (Can you say Coeds?)

Also, I am approximately 100 feet away from all night casino (Chi-ching)

Across the other street 50 feet away is a theatre where they put on plays/musical acts

All the major holiday parades march right past my crib

One distinct advantage of living near the center, is that new businesses oftentimes come where the people congregate - the center of town.

When things are being built around YOU. Your targets literally come to you.

you're still gonna go to work if it's 20 minutes away (which is nothing btw, I live in NYC and commute 35 to and fro everyday), but a girl may not go home with you if u love 20 minutes away, especially if it's a 20 minute cab.

I will rent a small room with furniture short term to see how I cope with the city-center/shitty parking-situation and so on.
