Haven't seen his review yet, but I have seen the movie. Course the villain in a male (they guy from district 9 that turns into a bug) and it teaches you that you can't trust men to stick to their word. It also makes the Maleficiant who in the past was a great villain since she was simply bad and had a great character design. You don't need to make villain have a ton of back story for it to be effective story wise.

Even before watching this video (actually still not watched more than two minutes and obviously not ever going to see the movie itself) just by seeing the movie poster - I realized this will be a feminist movie about glorifying aged feminist spinsters.

Who is Maleficent - she is the aged, post wall (also fat and ugly in real life) jealous female who wants to protect younger women from the "abuse" of being liked, seduced by and provided by men so these younger women must be forced to spend their best years to work for soulless corporations, earn useless degrees and destroy their vaginal micro flora by having dozens of dicks to destroy their ability to connect with a single man who would be the father of her children.

Feminists are witches and this movie is a total turnover of cultural values. Witches are now not to be burned at stakes but glorified instead.
