RE: "Young children with separated parents should not sleep over at their dads"
Actually there's some pretty decent evidence for that backed up by fMRI studies of people interacting with babies. Up to age 2'ish the relationship with the primary care provider dominates a childs life. After that age they can relate to other adults in a more meaningful way. The primary care provider isn't necessarily the mother - it could be the father or a grandparent or any other adult - but it's usually the mom and once she's established her role as such the baby should more or less be in her presence until they're a toddler. A few nights here and there probably aren't going to hurt much but I could see how a true 50-50 between two adults might damage the child early on.

"Don't let your daughters sit on the laps of male relatives. And bedtime kisses are a no no. #feministfathersday"

The article is the real thing. The above Tweet is satire.

Can you tell this difference? I can't. This is why I think those satirical "feminist" Twitter accounts are brilliant.

hilarious. There are all sorts of out there opinions in that article like this

Quote:he ruling elite frequently had poor early care themselves – it's why they are so motivated to get to the top.

Whaaaat? So if you want successful children you should neglect your children early in life? If thats the case then why aren't all of the kids in the trailer park rising up to be our new overlords....

This lady throws out all kinds of crazy with zero references. Psychiatrists...these are the 'experts' that get brought into family law cases.

Further info about "Psychologist Penelope Leach" from the article comments:
Quote:This woman is the daughter of an alcoholic father and partner/wife swapping parents.

Penelope leach is putting her own hangups on the rest of us.

Ignore her comments, the research does NOT support her tripe

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nigel_Balchin

She had a wholly dysfunctional childhood with alcoholism and wife swapping parents. Go figure she wants to tell the rest of us what to do...
