I saw the trailer for this new movie Tammy and almost threw up in my mouth.

Will this be a fat shaming movie, or will it further glorify fatness and fatty fattitudes?

My money is on normalizing fatness.

At any rate, it looks like a real winner.

The best thing you can do for a movie like this is not talk about it and don't go see it in theaters.
The more this movie flops the less likely this actress will get more work.

She's channeling Chris Farley. This looks to me like the female version of those goofball comedies he used to do.

If anything, I'd expect the fat-positive crowd to be screaming in horror about this, since it depicts a fat woman as a deceitful, criminal loser type. And the star, Melissa McCarthy, has never looked worse. Unless I'm totally off the mark, this might even inspire some protests about the kind of roles Hollywood lets fat women play.

I've always been of the belief that Tammy is a fat lairy bird's name. This side of the pond anyhow.

I wouldn't be surprise if the movie ends with her marrying a prince or having some jacked stud fall for her.
