Title of the thread is from a random comment in today's Heartiste post referring to the commenter not being able to conceive not having much younger, hotter women.

This reminded me of when my parents visited earlier this week and my father told me I look really good. I came from work somewhat dressed up. The response I gave without thinking was:

"What other choice do I have? Going aroud looking like a bum?

This would not have been my answer even 6 months ago let alone on autopilot.

It just really connected the dots that the further you go down this lifestyle path there are milestones where you couldn't turn back even if you wanted to.

Food for thought for the true newbies reading. You haven't gone far enough towards success if you aren't hitting these points.

I find that I screw up opportunities, sometimes, when I am NOT in the right mental framework. And, the solution can be practice, but sometimes the solution is to consider how to put yourself in the right mental framework.... if the logistics are in place, for example, or you have a plan for where you are going to take the girl or to propose a meeting place. Remains a work in progress for me.... b/c sometimes an opportunity that was available does NOT come back in the same form, but it may come back in some variation.

I think something similar whenever I read the complaints of keyboard jockeys who don't want to put in the work it takes to get laid:

"The ratios are horrible"
"There are too many cockblocks"
"She's just gonna flake on me anyway"
"Good girls are so rare, why bother looking"
"It's too hard to compete with her smartphone"

Look, if it was easy everyone would be doing it. But how bad do you want it? My alternative is going to bed alone with my dick in my hand, so I'll do whatever I have to do to make it happen.

The jockeys are right, it is a lot of work, but I put in the work because I can't imagine the alternative.
