Okay so another womens group with a petition. George Will wrote a column basically commenting on the slippery slope of these new definitions of rape as well as saying now that rape is this big sisterhood club sometimes victims are either given special privileges or attention and that causes more women to cry rape.

He supports his ideas basically commenting on a story where a college couple who had been hooking up for months were spending the night together. The women said she didn't wanna have sex, the guy didn't force her but I guess kept trying and she slept with him, then cries rape 6 months later.

This stuff is getting kinda crazyz, not only all the petitions but I recall hearing another story recently about a college or maybe even the law being changed to consider it rape if a man lies to get sex or coaxes a women into sex. That's how society works lol.

That's been going on since the beginning of time, girls are just as guilty of playing this game as guys. Even a girl who knows shhe's going to fuck a guy is going to play hard to get a little bit, maybe play coy on his first advance. I'm by no means saying its okay for a guy to force themselves on a girl but heck even teenie bopper movies are like oh no we shouldn't be doing this, guy perseveres a little girl gives a little then takes a step back, etc.

Yeah I've always hated Al Sharptons and Jesse Jacksons extortion type tactics but these liberals and feminists are just as bad if not worse

There is one major difference. Sharpton and Jackson might be questionable in their tactics and even their personal lives, but as my grandmother (rest her soul) once said, they're important because their presence reminds people there are economic disparities in this country.

I know the HBD crowd on here will says "Well those disparities are the people's own fault!" but even if their ideas are right, that doesn't hold true for 100 percent of any group of people, anywhere.

Feminists, though, do not speak for the economically (or socially) disenfranchised, but the privileged. The women that feminists seek to grant more power to are not minorities living in poverty, but rich girls in colleges, or upper middle class women -- all of whom already have a big piece of the economic pie.

And on top of that, they're also given preferential treatment in the legal system. Women do around 60 percent of the jail time men do for the same crimes -- and I'll bet black men do more time than white men for similar crimes.

This is what makes their cries of "check your privilege" so repulsive. It's projection: they're the pampered and privileged ones.

Also, I don't recall any black leader attempting to get a writer fired, although I might be wrong about that. I know they come down on politicians, musicians, and actors, but have they ever gone this route with a writer?

Looking to get a writer fired smacks of McCarthyism or Stalinism to me. In America, someone should not be designated as "incorrect" and removed from their job. This is becoming frightening.

Wow they are really going full out on this one, what more can they possibly want ?
Men collectively are pretty much crushed, the smart alpha types are leaving in their droves to start businesses in other parts of the world.

Perhaps they are getting worried, that more people are waking up to their B.S. I've seen that they have been latching on to the incidents taking place in war zones around the world, referring them to being an extreme form of the discrimination they apparently face in the West. Basically saying that the white middle class woman in her condo is against the same enemy as some 12 year old Sudanese girl who is getting raped.

My best guess, is that they are going full throttle, because they realise that they are losing ground. Its one of those age of empires techniques. Of expanding when you are running out of momentum.

You bring up some good points. I can see your argument about white feminists being privileged while you say Al Sharpton fights for the disenfranchised however I would have to say Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson are like the boy who cried wolf. They make up race issues and have actually done more harm than good.

To me when I hear a race issue these days my first reaction is not, oh thats a terrible thing but quick whining. Why? Because Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton have trivialized the issue. It's like women who fake rapes ruin it for women who really do experience rape. Racism is terrible but when every race issue is a money grab and over trivial bullshit they have no credibility so I would ague despite any good eithher of them have done they have done more harm. They divide races not brin them together or help race relations.

I would also have to disagree about them not going after writers, companies, talk show hosts, etc. They are always going after writers or Rush Limbaugh or whoeveer else calling for boycots of advertisers and calling everyone racists and haters.

Lastly, Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson do not speak for lower income people they speak for black people. I dont see them bringing issues forward for eastern europeans who are poor or hispanics or anyone else.

OK, so my arguments could have been better.

How about this: while Sharpton and Jackson have their faults, they don't seek to criminalize and/or pathologize the behavior of the average man.

And while people might take their points into consideration, they take a lot of what feminists say as gospel, making the lies of the latter more dangerous.

Most of all: while Jackson and Shapton pop up on the news commenting on current racial events, feminists start entire campaigns, like Goldiblocks Ban Bossy, out of the blue, without any real relevance to any pressing issue. The former responds to crises (however poorly), while the latter invents problems -- and blames men for those so-called problems.

Major addendum: I come from an Italian-American background where we were all afraid of police harassment because in the old days, an Italian name made you a suspicious character. Sharpton and Jackson's criticism of the police -- although it's sometimes totally off-the-mark -- I see as a healthy thing for society. We need to question how much police need to use force. BUT the constant calls by feminists for policing of men's behavior I see as tyrannical. This might be the deep, underlying reason for my feelings on this issue.
