"Feminist science seeks to improve our understanding of the world by including people with different viewpoints."

The program has its critics — those who think it is more political than scientific. "Women are hardly ignored in biology," Christina Goff Sommers of the conservative American Enterprise Institute said in an episode of her series The Factual Feminist, the College Fix reported. "In fact, they have far surpassed men in earning biology degrees. This new program is not about getting more women into the field. It’s about promoting women with the right worldview."

UWM’s program begins this September.

I think one of my favorite moments at UW-Madison is when the student government denied funding for the Campus Women's Center.

I'm still confused how biology can be feminist and not feminist. I guess the pancreas is a misogynist.

Biology isn't sexist. This is just a women studies program that is aimed to destroy science.

Much like the feminist attack on physics was aimed to destroy physics.

No matter what scientific backing they find, there will always be a wall at age 30.

The scientific community is, while not perfect, is pretty good at sniffing out nonsense and exposing it. Feminist science won't get very far.

Science has always been co-opted for political gain. This is yet another example of that.

I think it will correct itself in the long run. It's not politically correct to say women are weaker than men physically, but whenever I've seen a feminist claim it's false, scientists have called them out on it.

I'm sure this program will not shut down the alcoholic paradise that is state street. I've been nowhere else where a university campus is connected to the workplace of young professionals by a street full of bars. It was a poosy paradise, where you could get drinks for $1.

Madison has been called the Berkeley of the Midwest for years. It's amazing how different sensibilities are just 30 miles away.

If not for Madison and Milwaukee this state would be a Republican lock.

And State Street is still a poosy paradise.
