I now have a hard time with this. However, it was easy for me 15+ years ago.

That's when I joined the Navy. It was a group. I felt like I belonged to something. I thought it meant something. I grew passionate about it.

I struggle with this same problem now because I don't have that and I have other responsiblities that take higher priority.

So my advice is to go find something you are passionate about and maybe join other like minded men.

Being here at Rooshv is a start but being with other cool guys will help you overcome that inside thinking and help you see things more simply.

I do this a lot and I think it's normal to some degree given the typical conditioning of hanging back and seeing how things play out. We need to break that and create our own destinies.

Basically, you'll want to think of how you can contribute to the group setting and then go out and do it. The worst thing that will happen is that you'll get rejected or told "no", right? You can move on from those and become the life of the party / event.

All you have to do is weigh the benefits of talking to others and being extroverted versus the perceived benefits of being an introvert. Once you start talking to others and getting yourself out there as someone who should be known and met during events you'll find this becoming easier and easier.
