Unsurprisingly enough, around my town, most country fans are women. Well, most modern country fans. Hank Williams and Johnny Cash are still number one with men.

I like 80s/90s country. I have no idea what is out there now. Where I live, its rock and Top 40, which I like but I dont listen to the radio and dont hang out with enough rednecks.

@Chubbs, I used to notice this as well. Canadian rural white girls just love modern country music, maybe its some sort of Shania Twain side effect? Now that I live in rural tennesee its guys and girls.

Last, I never thought there was a difference between 'county&western' music before I lived here but I was later educated by some old guys at the barber shop. Its like east coast and west coast rap. Country music is from the southeast, with Johnny Cash and Dolly Parton as examples, most artists are heavy on the gospel music side and did not wear cowboy hats, they were more redneck than cowboy. Western music is more cowboys, texas and horses.

Don't Think Twice, by Waylon Jennings is what I'd consider to be one of my favorite 'red pill' old country songs. (notice, no cowboy gear). I realize it was written by Dylan but Waylon put a more "fuck you" tone into the song. Hank Williams III writes in the closest style to old country music but i think he's a terrible musician so don' take this an an endorsement.

Any man that is arrested at 3am in the morning, on his freeking lawnmower, on his way to the nearest liqour store, for chrissakes, is alright by me. It was a good thing the police stopped him really. There could have been a terrible accident. Some kind of drive by hedge cutting, or rose pruning.

Modern Country music has been infiltrated with the same crap the rest of our dying society has been infiltrated with...

- Girls are tough and masculine and at the same time this is what men are supposed to like.... puke
- The new male singers seem to be confused as to if they are singing country or pop or wanna be hip hop with their dress and mannerisms.
- Over patriotism for easy sales

But this older country music, or at least pre 2000 or so, really takes me back. Some of it I really like. Some of it is boring and too slow to me. But ALL of it just tells me how great this country used to be. Before modern feminism/liberalism took effect.

It is like watching a Clint Eastwood western from the 1970's and prior or most anything else this country produced back then. You can't believe the USA used to not only allow such displays of masculinity and femininity, they strongly encouraged and supported it. Women used to actually be women in the USA and they actually wanted a strong man. It is so hard to believe.

And I am left with one last thought...

Is there any where I can go in the world where this still holds true and it will be safe for me as a white male American citizen?

My God fellas, this was only a few decades ago. It is amazing what a poison liberalism/feminism is to a society.

Sure, you don't even have to leave the country. Move to rural/semi-rural southeast join a church whose name ends in the word 'baptist' Some of those churches even ban women from wearing pants or shorts to church because they are so old school. Even outside of church, drinking is frowned upon by most communities with limited bars etc. There are attractive, sweet, feminine women whose attention whoring is limited to having the respected and envied, god fearing family.

The fact that this part of the country is ridiculed as old fashioned, backwards, intolerant bible thumpers should tell you something. Rumors that it is full of rednecks and meth is only a problem for you if you choose to live in a trailer park.

That sounds like a dream come true.

I grew up in a rural area, but in the midwest and not in the southeast. And I say what you said is far more true to where I grew up than in the urban areas. The women are FAR better and FAR more feminine.

But there were two problems with this for me personally...

#1) The women get married very young there. If they are still single by 25, they will either move off to the city or they have some serious issue scaring the men off. So at my age, and with our society frowning upon age gaps more and more, it is unlikely for me today.

#2) There are few job opportunities in such areas, and those opportunities are shrinking with our economy crashing.

Both sets of my grandparents were midwest farmers. Their lives were so simple yet so happy. They worked hard, much like many young men to today, but they also were rewarded for it with good, feminine faithful wives and family time, and free time. These are things that have nearly disappeared.

If only I had been born 60 years prior. Oh well, I can't go back in time, I can't dream, so I just have to keep working hard and hope I can find some happiness some where in life.

Yeah, it's a really strange look for him. Upon checking out his Wikipedia page, I realize I have missed his last 3 albums.

I was put off back when Radio Nowhere came out by how much it sounded like Tommy Tutone's 867-5309...
Radio Nowhere got in my head every now and then but it just felt really...castrated.
