For me is a confidence thing.

I feel uncomfortable fully shaved. And if I can grow a full beard, why not?

I trim it to about a week of growth but shape it up. Shave and line up the neck area and give it a clean line along the cheeks. That's what works best for me.

I have a baby face. Never shave, just trim to a few mil every 2 days. Stubble gives me a stronger jawline.
Quite a few girls i've been with pester me to shave to see what i look like without stubble. Gave in after months of pestering twice, lesson learnt. Girls i prefer, prefer me with stubble. Scientific study complete.

My beard grows out gray now so screw that noise. I guess I could change the color, but easier to just shave it and look young. I am 37.

I keep 8-12 days growth and longer sideburns and I think it really ups my attractiveness-I've gotten plenty of compliments. Plus I hate shaving.

Here's an interesting study on the subject was found that women rated bearded men most attractive with 10 days growth and least attractive with less than 5 days growth. Full beards were considered to be good potential parents. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/a...women.html

Thanks for the article. If I am reading that right, 10 days is a full beard, right? Fuck it takes me like 30 days to get that much hair, I bet. The longest I have gone is about 2 weeks and it isn't full like Ben's. Maybe closer to George's in that article.

Not to derail the thread, but my friend has told me that if you let it grow out into a beard, after shaving it comes in more evenly?
I've never actually grown out my facial hair, because it's patchy and funky, like keanu reeves'. I'm 32 and it still takes a long time for mine to grow out. I haven't shaved since the 23rd, so I'm just gonna let it go until I get tired of it.

No-10 days is not a full beard, it's a short beard

I find a 2-3 day stubble to be optimal. I used to always go clean-shaved as I thought that would make me look younger (I'm mid 30s) and therefore more attractive. Wrong. Started not shaving after noticing much more attraction with a stubble. Haven't tried a small or full beard, as it gets itchy plus for work reasons.

A full beard is good if you're bald dude with muscles. I had only positive experiences since I switched to this style. I get compared to dudes like Statham even though I look nothing like him.

Anyway, I wouldn't recommend anyone to grow a beard if he doesn't have a thick beard. Sport some mustaches (and a goatee if you can pull it off) if they're thick, and don't even think about full beard if you have that Keanu patches.
