The Swedish elections are coming up and will be held in September.

Some of you may know that there's a Feminist party in Sweden called the Feminist Initiative. They may gather the minimum of 4,0 % of the national vote to enter the parliament. Their party platform include the introduction of a "citizen's pay", mandatory sex education in kindergarten, meat-free Mondays, increased spending in the public sector, complete disarmament of the Swedish Armed Forces and the introduction of a third legal gender. All this payed for by 6-hour work days.

Yesterday, a new page called Maskulint Initiativ (The Masculine Initiative) made the rounds on Facebook. It's gathered roughly 27k likes in less than 24 hours.

The people behind the page are allegedly working on a party platform. They've already been interviewed by several media outlets, including the state media. A short article introducing the party has also been posted to a popular news site, making the rounds on Facebook.

As expected, feminists around the country are raging.

Unexpectedly, the forming party is also gathering lots of support from both men and women. I say unexpectedly, because Sweden is a feminist and equalist country. Red pill views are quickly branded misogynist by most people without a second thought.

It'll be interesting to follow this and see if it remains a week-long Facebook event soon forgotten, or becomes a full-fledged political party. It's still in a very early stage. Even if it doesn't gather the 4,0 % needed, it may still manage to shed a contrarian light on Sweden's current political climate.

I'm posting this to show that red pill sentiments may finally be hitting the mainstream in the most feminist country in the world.

It means, as I understand it, that you can't eat meat on Mondays and will instead be served a vegan-based meal. I guess it's to be implemented in state-controlled institutions. I think you'd still be able to eat meat in your own home though (I hope!).

Was looking around at articles regarding Feminism in Sweden and found this gem from eight years ago - How the Feminists’ “War against Boys” Paved the Way for Islam. It's too long to post here but given the year it was written (2006) it's very prescient of ideas that would later show up in the manosphere:

I've been saying it for years on this forum. There's a major counter-culture that's as large, if not larger, than the feminist movement in the nation. You just won't see it anywhere in the mainstream media. A whooping 70% of Swedish "journalists" have sympathies with the Left, Socialist or Green party (twice as high representation compared to the general populace).

That's why it pisses me off when allegedly "red pill" men, even on this forum, believe everything they read in the media about Sweden. More than likely they are reading watered down and translated dispatches of the most minor feminist victories with hyperbole applied to them.

^I haven't met many Swedish men, but the ones I have met were cool, masculine dudes with their shit together, and far more so than the average American male. I agree that this idea that Swedish dudes are pussies is likely horseshit that the media likes to propagate.

Granted, these are only Swedes who came stateside, but it's not like American tourists are a cool group.

I haven't really noticed the counter-culture myself. Me and a few fellow friends hold more "red pill" views than the rest of our social circles, but then again I live in a university town where 99 % are left-leaning hipsters. We generally keep quiet about our views, as even innocent (to us) remarks can affect your social reputation (learnt this the hard way). In what ways have you noticed this counter-movement?

If you're referring to me about the "allegedly red pill men" remark, I certainly do not believe everything told by the media. You hardly need frontal lobe capacity to understand where Swedish media lies on the political spectrum.

I think Vicious is on something here. Feminists,male feminists, green party and left wing people gets all the attention in the media. Even outside Sweden.

I don't know where this thinking comes from but if you ask a Finnish dude what he thinks about Sweden or a Swede. There is a 99% he says gay. Gay,gay,gay or "fjolla".
For some reason most Finnish people like to think that Sweden is the epicenter in the world of emasculated males,homosexuals,feminists and immigrants and that the country has been lost for a long time already. Maybe because Finns are forced to study Swedish in school. Finns hate Swedish language and using Swedish makes them feel inmasculine or "gay". I think it's exaggerated but I'm not a fan of how many younger Swedes are speaking. A lot of slang and saying "typ" between every second word.
I think Swedish is a feminime language. Girls can sound incredibly sexy meanwhile guys can sound cheesy and girly and give off a gay vibe.

However,no hate to the Swedish guys here.
I've had a lot of good times in Sweden.

The Feminist Initiative, as well as the green party (Miljöpartiet), have never had a single article in the mainstream media published criticising their policies, and that is probably the reason why they have gained so much public 'acceptance'.

As Vicious said, FI is unlikely to survive when people actually start scrutinizing their party platform. It is the same shit with the 'greens', but again they are free from critiques...

Why is the left so obsessed with pushing vegetarianism? Carbohydrate based diets are rubbish, and the only reason people in india etc are vegetarian is because of poverty or superstition.

Meat eating is to 2014 what masturbation was to 1914. Just another bit of puritan, protestant 'self-denial' based on emotion, not reason. Notice how Catholic countries have ZERO interest in this shit. It's all places like UK and Netherlands. Try getting a vegetarian meal in Italy, I dare you.

I've been thinking about something that Vicious said in another thread, that FI takes votes from other leftist parties. This is a good thing; if a few % of the people who'd have voted for the Social Democrats, Greens or Left instead vote for FI, it makes it harder for the "Big Left" to gain enough votes to topple the Alliance (current rulers in Sweden). Let's just hope they get one vote from 4,0 %.

I've heard the exact same sentiments when I've met Finnish guys. I think you guys have more of a culture where men are men and women are women. Why that is I don't know. Maybe the Russian macho-culture rubs off across borders? Conscription? All the vodka?

^ Perhaps. I really do believe that this hating comes from past times when Swedish was the only official language and Swedish talking people were the "elite" and most successful and richest people. Finns were the poor working class and farmers.

Maybe it's some sort of bigger brother complex. Finland always look on Sweden when it comes to how to not do. They let Sweden take the first step and then Finland is observing and taking notes.

Example. Finns are looking on TV when immigrants are running amok in Sweden and setting cars on fire in the ghettos. Result = Finland has one of the strongest immigration policies in Europe.
Finland always takes example of Sweden.
