how frequently do you encounter a white boy with a fly asian gf?

Thing is; different cultures prefer different types of features.

When I lived in Thailand my Thai friends always said that us farangs were always attracted to girls they didn't find amazingly beautiful.

I think this is changing though with the dominance of Western culture and beauty norms.

Absolutely true in Indonesia, with no signs of changing. Whenever my LTR makes a native acquaintance, they are amazed when they find out her boyfriend is white because "white guys prefer girls who look like housemaids" and "white guys are blind."
Maybe OP has a point that this translates to the US but was being hyperbolic.

It's the reason I let my super buff Asian bro date this Asian girl who was into me.
