So, I've mentioned before that I have a hard time finding people willing to venture beyond my small town and into the city when going out. Since my college/town has such a tiny available pool of women, getting out is critical if I'm going to improve.

I'm thinking of trying to get in contact with my city's PUA lair in order to solve this problem. Has anyone here had good luck with their local lairs in terms of learning and getting out there? I'm thinking I'll just go ahead and try it, but there is always that fear that it will turn out to be a bunch of super creepy 40 year olds, or something like that. Thoughts?

Definitely a last resort. All you need is one guy to go out with twice a week.

Lots of guys in pua lairs are weird. It's only when they leave the lair are they cool.
