Apologies if there is already a thread on this topic, if there is I couldn't find it.

There's a woman I've seen 3 times since January, she only gave me number the last time we met, last week.

I just called her, and after ringing almost to voicemail, a man answered saying 'This is X's phone, Grüß Gott' [Austrians]. I was a bit surprised to say the least (who answers someone else's mobile anyway, as opposed to landline?).

Well, I just hung up. What should I have done/what should I do if they call back?

As far as I know, she doesn't have a boyfriend/husband, but she's so evasive it wouldn't surprise me.

Can be off-putting, but you should have just asked if she was there. Could have been a friend, brother, dad, uncle, regular customer at her work, co-worker, whatever.

Not your problem if she's got a man and never told you.

That said, when's the last time you saw her? Since January seems like a bit of a while to be working on a chick. Maybe her status changed?

Yeah, I probably should just have asked. I just got up from a nap so I'm not running on all cylinders, and I've had had to speak German.

I saw her twice in January and then again a week ago and she made a huge deal of giving out her number.
