Your Tips For Getting Out of a Lazy Mood?
Sometimes I really feel lazy and low energy, and just can't get going. Especially when I have a large block of time ahead of me and it feels like nothing is "urgent". I feel a lethargy which kind of settles through my body. Oddly I get very warm feet at these times and I feel it must be something physiological.

Anyone else get this way? How do you beat it? Pushups? Cold shower? Maybe it's a mineral deficiency?

Dr Johnson rumbles with the RawGod. And lives to regret it.

Whenever I do I go to the the gym. If you have regular access to one I would go and do that. Hope its leg day because that releases the most testosterone.

I'm most motivated when I'm already doing whatever it is I need to be doing. Find ways to get yourself to start, and force it.

If you need to read a book, for example, pick up the book and just look through it a bit.
If you need to hit the gym, get your clothes on and step outside.

Helps get momentum rolling.

I also say, go to the gym. Going to.the gym makes me think of the progress I've made and of where I could have been if I had gotten on track sooner. After that, I can't stomach the thought of wasting any more time. Hit the gym.

RE: Your Tips For Getting Out of a Lazy Mood?
Ask yourself how bad do you want it? Whether that's a goal or something to aim for in your life.

That's primary. If that drive is not there nothing is going to help you and at best you're only going to half-ass it.

Secondary, fitness and health. Workout for the energy and to improve your body. For health, get proper nutrition. But also socialize, meditate if it helps you, improve your mental well being.

I'm in a Lazy Mood. The Sun does that to me.
I've also been sick for the past few weeks. I've missed a good few important social evenings that would have brought me up into another level of woman.

You know what I saw yesterday that kicked me the fuck out of lazy mood?
My fine neighbour getting picked up by some dude with a decent car. I grew up with this girl, she had a crush on me, she looked like a boy at the time but now? Damn! She's the epitaph of Girl Next Door. CarCrash! Get your ass up and at them!

It's easy to demotivate yourself by being overwhelmed by plans/hopes/etc, so I always try to remember: it's all about the first step. Just take the first step into your plans and the second step will come naturally, and then so will the third step and so on.

Has anyone tried the "Alpha Brain" product?

It seems to be popular and good for getting out of a lazy mood. I have not tried it, but was considering it and looking for some reviews.

I am curious if has any effects on athletic performance and sexual side effects. Adderall makes me feel like shit the next day and removes my sex drive for a few days post use.

Haha, it's pretty obvious that you shouldn't be jerking off during the day.
Secondly, work out the LEGS. It will snap you out of a hangover, foggy mind, whatever it is and wake you the fuck up.
Thirdly, you may want to take Tyrosine during the day, with no food, for cognition.
Finally, the 1st thing you do when you wake up in the morning is read. It actually doesn't matter between fiction/nonfiction, either will get your mind focused and onto the next thing.

RE: Your Tips For Getting Out of a Lazy Mood?
There's a difference between lazy mood and lazy body. This winter I'd felt so lethargic during the day and drained of energy I started drinking black coffee in the morning for the first time in my life. It did give me an energy boost, but I also started doing 30-60 minutes of intense cardio several times a week. After that I then had normal energy levels and didn't feel I needed the coffee.

Now a lazy mood is a totally different thing. I suffer from that frequently and I've yet to find any simple solution. I think that stems from lack of motivation or anything to get excited or inspired by with no sense of urgency or deadline. I think the only way through that is just sheer willpower and momentum. Like the laws of motion. The longer your motivation level is low, the harder it is to get it going. And people who are charged with purpose and driven and getting their goals met, it will take a lot to slow them down. I wish I had a simple hack for this, but I really don't think there is one. Just got to build up that life momentum day by day incrementally.

I make a juice.

Seriously. It takes about 20 or so minutes to kick in, and then it's like BAM! I have so much energy, it changes my mood and puts me in an entirely different mindset.

My juice recipe is:

about a 1" chunk of ginger
4 apples
1 sweet pepper
1 cucumber
3 stalks of celery
2 carrots
1 zucchini

Throw all that into your juicer. Drink. Then just wait for the BAM!

And if you want to kick it up a notch, pour the juice into your blender. Add in 2 bananas, an avocado, and a cup of blueberries. Blend. Drink.

RE: Your Tips For Getting Out of a Lazy Mood?
If you constantly feel lazy, it's because you don't have clear cut goals and an action plan.

A motivated person is one who has a clear vision of what they want to succeed at and take daily action to do so.

Take an analysis of your life and determine the root problem: why are you not excited and motivated about each day?

If all else fails, imagine what it's like to be 50, broke, no bitches and your life is fucked.

Just a followup. Today is gym day. Squat day. Fuck, I love squat day. But yet, I was feeling a bit lazy/tired. Perhaps running a race yesterday, I don't know. So what'd I do? I made my juice, and blended in an avocado. And holy fuck, it's been about 30 minutes and I can barely even finish this post. That familiar burst of energy in my chest from deep within. Spreading throughout my veins. Putting me into beast-mode. Time to beat the fuck out of my legs. Man, I love squat day. Drink your juice, boys. Seriously.

What kind of juice did you blend your avo with?

Here I do avocado fruit shakes sometimes, but they put sugar and condensed milk in them. Tasty, no doubt, but should probably get a blender and do it right.

I always make the same juice. I don't always blend in fruit, that depends on how I'm feeling. When I blend in fruit, the energy rush lasts much longer. And condensed milk tastes almost too good, but I wouldn't put it in my juice (as I'm currently cutting).

My juice recipe is:

about a 1" chunk of ginger
4 apples

Co sign on the green tea. I also like to add ginkgo to my teapot or the coffee machine. Downside is it's blood thinning effect, if I cut myself on a machine it can take forever to stop the bleeding. Stainless steel looks pretty with blood all over it though Banana

(Edit)
I like juice and my custom workout shakes as much as the next guy but you either have a motivation problem see McQueen's post above or you have a medical issue! So did a girl just give you the train or what? Give it up, what has changed that has left you feeling lazy?
