Seriously -- can you imagine this image painted as a mural on a heroic scale -- it would be one of the fucking sweetest things ever made, literally the greatest work of art in decades. Fuck, I wish someone had such genius.

Opinions on Banksy aside, I wonder how many people saw this picture, totally, like agreed with it's message or whatever, and forwarded it to friends - all with their smart phones. While in the presence of, and ignoring, a friend or lover or family member.

We live in a post age; post parody, post satire, post social criticism.

Freep article

Apparently back in 2010 these guys "preserved" this "piece of art" the Banksy guy did at the Packard plant in Detroit as they were concerned that it would be destroyed by demo work going on there. Reportedly there was a bit of an uproar but nothing major as they said they were never going to sell it.

Well, now they are going to sell it as they need the money to support their art gallery or some such thing and the "street art" community is apparently going wild.

Thing that no one seems to bring up is the fucking Packard Plant is privately owned. In other words they stole someone's property and now they are on the net trying to sell it. Typical mentality of these street artist types. Zero respect for property.

Personally I hope the owner of the plant sues these fucks, gets the "art" back and gets them tossed in jail.

Banksy is pretty cool, so is obey's Shepard Fairey. If you haven't checkout "Exit throught the gift shop" pretty cool doc.

But think of this way, they spawn creativity and new artists as well.

On the whole we can all agree the original picture does show how dating really is.
