I searched for "McAllister" and did not find any prior threads on this recent news. Congressman Vance McAlliser was caught by security cameras kissing one of his married aides, Melissa Peacock. There's video of them kissing; it's clear they've done a lot more than that:

I know that this McAlister guy was supposedly all about "family values," but everyone is shocked that he fired this chick after the tapes leaked and he is not resigning himself. Why should he be expected to give up his six figure job because he committed adultery with some office admin? This kind of shit has been going on ever since women came into the workforce.

Idon't know anything about this ladys husband but he could be a huge pussy he could be a badass. I was just curious what the general consensus is with this topic. Now do we think any guy who gets cheated on is a beta pussy and had it comming because if he had his lady in check she wouldn't cheat?

Men in McAlister's position will always have women throwing themselves at him. Married or single, old or young. For many of the women working for him, he'd be considered an upgrade over their current man, no matter how good that man is to them. Only him making considerably more than the politician might make her think it isn't an upgrade.

The top pic, where McAlister's wife is in the black & white, she appears smashable. But in the lower pic, where she's dressed in red, she appears to have put on considerable weight, I'd pass. I don't mind the graying hair - I'm more concerned about the body.

Not sure if it's a matter of Alpha or Beta but...if you marry a woman who is involved in politics on her level you've basically married a groupie.

I've seen these women in DC. They behave to politicians like teens behave towards Bieber and Drake. I remember reading a profile of Mary Matalin that basically came out and said as a teen she saw politicians as rock stars.

I would recommend not getting serious with any woman who is an "orbiter" in a profession where Super Alphas are close at hand. This includes women who work for any professional sports team, women who work in rock clubs, and women in politics (not gov't per se, but politics itself).

I wouldn't call him a beta or anything. The guy and the Congressman were supposed to be longtime acquaintances, so he figured nothing would happen. So it took two betrayals, both of which he (reasonably) figured were unlikely, for this to happen. It happens sometimes. A real life bad beat.

I read all the links and watched the news coverage. I find it really telling that the stories interview the congressman and the husband, but the actions of the wife are never considered.

Classic feminist bullshit, she is not mentioned but by her absence she is clearly being portrayed as an unwitting pawn in some political scandal. Feminism is all about holding up women as great actors until they do something wrong, then the men get all the limelight.

The single person in this whole thing who is most at fault is the wife/aide.

The woman, Melissa Peacock, was fired from her job as McAlister's staffer. Her husband has filed for a divorce (as he should.) So she is the only real loser in the scandal. She got what she deserved.

The real feminist BS comes from women who actually blame Mr. Peacock for divorcing his cheating wife, because he was somehow at fault for her wife's cheating on him and did not forgive her and go to counseling with her.
