I've lived in LA for 30 years and so you're bound to run into celebrities from time to time. I fly to NYC in first and business a lot as well and have sat next to at least a dozen entertainment types: Slash, that blonde Australian chick from Chuck, Al Roker, the black captain on Brooklyn 99, Winona Ryder, Kate beckinsale (so hot but smells like an ashtray), etc...

Still, my favorite celeb experience was in 2001 at Miyagi's on sunset. Was shooting pool with a buddy on a weeknight and JCVD drunkenly stumbles up and asks to join. I say "sure, get a partner" and he just randomly hits some black dude up drinking with his back turned to us. Turns around and it was Tone Loc, the 80's era rapper (and ace ventura's sidekick). JCVD had no idea who he was, while I just kept on gushing to him saying that I liked his song "Bust a Move". He said, "Yo that's Young MC, asshole".

Most ridiculous pool game ever: tone loc talking nonstop shit about how Asians can't see because of our tiny eyes in his distinctive voice, JCVD playing terribly and then this motherfucker just throws his pool cue on the table and starts doing the EXACT SAME DANCE that he did in that bar scene in Kickboxer where his master gets him drunk and sends all the Thai goons to fight him. I'm talking down to the goofy ass hand claps and protracted splits on the floor.

As if this isn't enough, he then has a crowd of people watching and clapping along and he screams out in his Belgian accent, "everybody, you want to see my kick??" And he just started pirouetting in place on one foot while doing roundhouse kicks with the other. Guy made it through three or four revolutions until a waitress pushed through the crowd to get to the service well and JCVD inadvertently kicked the tray right out of her hands... And he didn't even stop kicking!! Waitress got mad and called the manager over but he just put his hands up in a "what do you want me to do?" fashion.

Of course, by this time everyone in the general area has been splashed by alcohol, JCVD is still pirouette kicking, people were going wild and over the din I hear Tone Loc howling, "that's my nigga Jean Claude!" in his gravely baritone. True they were C-D list stars, but I still laugh when I think about that night almost 15 years later.

Last year I was absolutely lost somewhere in London looking for a post office.

All of a sudden i stumble upon some tall grizzled handsome man coming out of a huge house.

as i got more close to him, almost hitting his shoulder, i realized he was Jimmy Page.

He totally ignored me, despite the fact that there was only me and him in the vicinity and had a led zeppelin tshirt on...

Got hit by approach anxiety and left.

I have met a bunch of random celebs due to the area I work in as well...

Most look way different in person since they aren't under perfect camera lighting and they are always all shorter and skinnier/fatter then on film...

Only chicks I have met and talked to that were more attractive in person were some Victoria secret girls. Some were in my building for a secret meeting and I was talking to Alessandra ambrosia about Brasil/ in shitty Portuguese and their assistants thought it was cute. She basically showed me pics of her kid and said talking to her family there in Brasil was hard being in the USA . Then the girls told me not to go to Brasil because the girls would fall in love quickly and trap me somehow. I laughed then left the room.

I still haven't been to Brasil yet but all the brasilians in the USA that I've met end up saying something similar to me. I think if you know the minimum amount of knowledge on Brasil the people like you, like for example knowing they speak Portuguese and not Spanish...

When I was 10 years old I met Evander Holyfield at a program for my school and he was a fucking asshole.

Dude couldnt even look me in the eye when I walked up to him, this starstruck little kid asking for a simple autograph. His bodyguards did all the talking for him and said Mr. Holyfield isn't signing autographs today.

Mike Tyson fan all the way ever since.

I met Erik Estrada, the mexican cop from CHiPs the 70's police show. He was a seriously cool guy. So down to earth and nice to everybody.

I passed Conan O'Brien in the Topanga Canyon mall here in Cali, but he was on his phone and looked pretty busy.

I sat next to Biz Markie once on a plane from NYC to LAX.

He ate a whole bag of Cheetos, didn't wash his hands or brush his teeth, and then just passed out. He snored and slobbered everywhere.

When the plane landed he had orange Cheeto slop all over himself and the seat. It was in his eye lashes.

I had to keep him from rubbing on me. The whole cabin smeeled like cheetos.

I met....Justin Fucking Bieber. The dude was on my flight, noticed my "peacocking"( I was just starting to learn game then) and probably figured that since I was the only other dude there dressed as eccentric as he was that I was striking up a conversation with. He looked very confused when I responded to him having a show with "oh cool" and asked what type of show. I only put it together later when I overheard the flight staff talking.

I've met a few English actors, although I wouldn't say were famous they had been on TV so I guess it counts.

One of the actors from an old UK teen drama series skins fixed my iPhone in the Apple store in Bath. Met a few actors from a UK drama series Waterloo road but I had no idea who they were. Some girls I was hanging out with said it these chaps were from the show.

Went to school with a chick who competed in London olympics. She has been on TV since then but again not exactly famous. Also went to school with a chick who had one line in some UK film.

No big name people.

Renee is actually a funny story. She was in front of me in line at the Coffee Bean and Teal Leaf on Sunset. I made some remarks about the slowest barista in the Western hemisphere and she laughed her ass off. Wound up buying me a coffee actually. Which is strange - the only gal I ever met who offered.

There are others I ran into at parties and shook hands with (doesn't count in my book). I'm also not counting the dozens I've seen during my time in L.A. - way too many to list.

Not many, but:

- Ted Nugent. He loves my company's products, so I get a private meet-and-greet offer whenever he comes to Arizona. That wild, weird personality you see on TV is not an act.
- Patrick Stewart. I was working security at a fairly high-end outdoor venue when I was in my 20s. He literally walked across 17 acres to say hello to me, just because one of my colleagues mentioned I admired his work.
- Pete Townshend. Met him briefly when he was doing a show on Broadway. He grabbed my buddy's necklace and exclaimed, "I LIKE your beads!" Okay, a little weird.
- Gerald McRaney. He's very into guns, and I work in that industry. Came into my booth at a trade show one year right after Jericho was cancelled. Cool, friendly guy, and knows his guns.
- Steve Gustafson. Probably no one knows him now, but he played bass in 10,000 Maniacs when they were big. Had a drink with him in a bar right after a show.
- Jeff Hornacek. Met him in a Phoenix hotel bar when he was coaching the Suns. Really nice man, and was happy to pose for a pic.
- Mark Bowden. He wrote Blackhawk Down and some other cool books. Great, humble man, thanked me for my military service.
- Steven Spielberg. Guy's a dick.

Lou Ferrigno walks through my trade show booth every year, but he always times it so that I'm with a journalist. I really just want a pic of me putting him in a sleeper hold.

George Lynch - great guitarist from 80s rock band "Dokken".

When I was working a customer service job for auto insurance I once spoke to him over the phone; apparently he owns over 7 cars. (Verified that it was him because out of curiosity I googled his address just to make sure). I also saw him in-person once at a local guitar exhibition (this was prior to talking to him on the phone, so it was a huge coincidence).

For the record, I'm a fan of Dokken's music, however George Lynch's solo album (under the band Lynch Mob) is definitely one of my favorite, 80s hard rock albums ever.

I was in a band that later went on to 'make it big' -- i.e. cover of Rolling Stone, songs that still get mainstream airplay -- but I had gone off to uni. No regrets.
Musically, I later worked in studio (& sometimes on stage) with big name producers or big name musicians that were producing. (Even fucked one's hot ex.)
Names you would definitely know.
I don't like to name-drop, but they are really interesting guys, and their talents and stories are much more fascinating than simply throwing their names around.

Played a shit ton of gigs opening for a lot of 90's indie bands -- that can be a whole thread in itself.

But I can definitely confirm one nasty rumor that has been whispered down through the ages: Courtney Love is a indeed a Cunt.

He's my favorite guitar player and surprising not very well known. Back for the Attack may be the most underrated album in music history.

As far as meeting celebrities, I definitely don't go out of my way to meet them and really don't care at all if I meet any celebrities. That being said, there is a guy who is a current celebrity who I've known my whole life. If you read my posts, you can easily figure it out. I met a bunch of random 80's and 90's pro athletes like Barry Sanders and Andres Gallaraga.

I know a guy that plays in the NFL, and some others that are really involved ex players.

One of them had a party at his house when the pro bowl was here.

I met tons of former and current players, but the most impressive was Roger Goodell. He was a straightforward dude.

Then his motorcade showed up to take him home. He had head-of-state level security. The bulletproof SUVs had antennas all over them, for what reason I don't know. It was interesting.
