Upcoming Documentary Called The Red Pill
I saw an ad for an upcoming documentary called the Red Pill that was to be directed by a woman, Cassie Jaye. I'm a bit skeptical as to how the Red Pill will be portrayed, but listening to her talk, and seeing some of her social media it seems that she sides with some MRA's. She was raised in a conservative religious family. And she's a good looking woman. Would definitely bang.

Here she is, and some of her links.

I hate it when things I enjoy and are passionate about need to be distilled through the voice of a female to be acceptable for mass consumption.

Yes. Her documentary looks sympathetic, but it has the same problem Men On Strike did. Men's issues have to be addressed by men. Having all female MRA leaders is a bit like if all the civil rights leaders were white.

This looks like another attention-whoring session by a girl talking about how she discovered the "real" world.

Why doesn't she make a movie about us? Paul Elam is irrelevant. It pisses me off that they are co-opting the phrase "red pill" for their own purposes. Elam is not what I would call "red pill." If they want to see real red pill, spend a few hours at RVF or ROK.

She needs to make a movie about Roosh V.

Elam has no following, no influence, and no purpose.

His purpose is to be the Malcolm X of the men's rights movement.

His influence has been to encourage men to feel ok about giving up.

RE: Upcoming Documentary Called The Red Pill
Calling the film "The Red Pill" is going to already cause controversy because everyone has their own perception of what they believe "Red Pill" truly means. Even members of RooshV will have somewhat differing opinions.

Regardless, making a documentary debunking modern feminism and giving more legitimacy to men is certainly going to guide people down the rabbit hole. In the grand scheme of things, this will definitely be more net positive than negative. I'll give the movie the benefit of the doubt, lets see what happens when it's released.

Exactly. Some of his posters are refugees from the now-defunct "Don't Get Married" board. While we share some basic views (marriage is risky for men, child support is excessive, etc) the main undercurrent of the DGM board was of a bunch of Debbie Downers - guys who couldn't get laid in a women's penitentiary with a carton of cigarettes! So they turn it around and say "why, it's too dangerous to even TALK to a woman today, that's why we don't do it". Yeah, that and no woman would talk to you! These guys should have "L" tattooed on their foreheads.

Game culture will grow faster than MRA culture, because it has sociobiological incentives on its side. Men would rather involve themselves in a group that tells them they have within them the power to improve as opposed to a group that suggests they need to petition the culture or the state.

That much is obvious.

This is why I've personally taken an interest in it right from the beginning. Game culture will be the game changer, no doubts there. But what is the end game of this game culture? There's a good reason game is routinely dismissed as nihilism, because ultimately it doesn't go anywhere. What happens when multitudes of men join this culture and RoK or something like it becomes popular? The answer is that nothing happens. The only thing that changes is the culture itself changes; it becomes increasingly forced to listen and respond and becomes malleable enough to start making the kinds of changes that MRAs have been pushing for from the beginning.

And what happens when those legal structures have changed and society starts regarding men as more than pawns on a chessboard again? Do you think game culture will maintain that same level of societal interest? I can't say for sure, but personally, I doubt it.

The reality is that Paul Elam, or somebody like him, whatever you think of those people, will become increasingly relevant, even as game culture rises to cultural prominence. Much of what's being said on RVF and RoK will never be accepted by the mainstream without being pruned significantly. Barring a collapse, we will never again return to the old system, and will likely never abandon much of what modern liberals have fought for.

Thus, the entirety of game culture online is nothing but cultural ballast in the pockets of people like Paul Elam or others who want to push the culture forward. Game culture will be a sobering wake up call for the culture of the costs they'll incur if they don't start to take note of what MRAs are saying and start criticizing feminists. No matter how furiously you criticize people like PE or the liberal media, no matter how you attempt to rationalize it, those are the people you're ultimately working for. And that's not really a bad thing, because barring a collapse there really is only one other realistic choice.

Looks like Elam is hijacking "red pill" because of its popularity above "MRA". This could cause significant damage to the term if the mainstream come to see red pill as Paul Elam.

^^

Exactly. Watching Elam just gush with joy about getting some attention from an attractive woman shows he's just another simp.

He's looking for her approval and her endorsement. He just throws softball after softball for her to hit. It might as well have been an infomercial.

It's so beyond pathetic...

These MRAs are what mainstream society wants. MRAs are safe, cozy, and "safe" rebels. Meaning, of course, that they're harmless and neutered. Which is what American women want in a male organization.

Put one of us in front of those cameras...just 5 minutes. Just five.

Malcolm X of the men's rights movement KILLED me. I blew a snot bubble the size of a volleyball. I'm still laughing.

I met a member of his organization at a men's rights event in Toronto. He described Avoiceformen as just that, the Malcolm X of the movement.

Being a person who is always curious about other folks' ways of thinking, I rubbed shoulders with MRAs for a while.

However, it isn't for me. I think being informed about the risks to men in modern culture is important, but once informed, you've gotta go live your life.

I don't want to spend my years bitching about something that I can't fix. I'd prefer to quietly abstain from marriage and focus on creating a lifestyle that I can enjoy regardless of the every present risks to male satisfaction with life.

It in interesting how most of the limited media attention to male issues seems to focus on the MRA side. I think it fits the narrative better than a group of guys who have bucked the system and found a way to enjoy life without having to give up ever having sex again.

I can't imagine anything exciting feminists more than a bunch of unattractive older guys deciding to withdraw from society.

Weird, considering my last article was pretty much about this (at least point 5 was).

Sympathetic or not, women have no place in our sphere other than as cheerleaders. Their opinions, even if it completely mimics ours, is not representative of us because they do not understand the reasons we have our opinions in the first place.

@QC Someone from the community getting any face time on camera would be a coup. If we were the rambling maniacs they are trying to make us out to be they'd have no problem giving us exposure in the first place - we'd just hang ourselves with our methods. They know we have very good points, and can articulate them without retreating into the laughable victim mode and wow, just wow rebuttal-ism that drive feminist debaters.

That's why the MRA's are more likely to get the face time. People ranting and raving is good entertainment and changes nothing.

Although, to be fair, they get almost no media coverage as well.

RE: Upcoming Documentary Called The Red Pill
No one should be co-operating with any woman writing about the manosphere or making a film on it. Unless you want to co-operate by purposely feeding her disinformation (i.e. Susan Walsh and Paul Elam dated in high school until she ran off with his best friend).

Even before I was Red Pill I knew enough never to help female reporters in my newsroom. I'd write for female editors -- they did pay me, after all -- but I was not going to help any woman get a leg up and those who did usually lived to regret it.

Women in media are generally unbearable personally and biased professionally. And even if they're biased in the co-called right direction, their work is generally substandard because it's based around how everything (use breathless newscaster's voice here) *affects women.*

I was about to write this.

Roosh, I know you're very much anti TV time but maybe you should write her and let her know that Elam is a horrible person to represent the movement.

I know you're a behind the scenes guy, but that wimp is going to hijack an otherwise great platform for his own pathetic gains.
