Drills, Routines, and Rituals For Turning Your Mind Off In Clubs
Being extremely logical is the biggest double edged sword I'm armed with. It makes me extremely icy at the cost of being too logical to significantly experience emotions.

The problem is there's a certain baseline of fun a person should have in a club. You also need some courage to do approaches. Both fun and courage are emotions.

What drills, routines, and rituals do you use to turn your logical mind off in order to experience stronger emotions?

I would recommend drinking, but you can then drink too much, which will make look like a druken fool. Instead, why dont you try mediating. Great for clearing your head and can be done almost anywhere.

Seems simple, but try following the 3 second rule. I tend to be quite in my head (INTJ), but following the 3 second rule snaps me out of it. When I approach immediately it's almost like I don't give my mind time to catch up and then that mindset seems to last for the interaction.

Also as already mentioned, drinking is effective, but creeps up quickly.

I would say that I do best when I've already been chatting people up before I get to the club, and continuing that flow of just talking to people once I get inside. When you get inside, say hi to people as you make a lap of the place and scope around.

Don't go straight to the bar and wait in-line for a drink...you're just setting yourself up to strike up a conversation (active state) while you are just mulling about for someone to serve you (passive state). like i said earlier, talk to people as you move about the crowd, eyeing the cute girls or the cool dudes.

also don't only talk to girls. talk to guys, too; who knows, you might meet someone that is genuiniely cool. talk to people in order to make your own fun.

all of this is especially true if you're rolling solo. Nothing worse than going out by yourself only to be blown out by women with high bitch shields! have fun and talk to some cool people.

I often have the same problem. What I do is watch either sitcoms or listen to humor audiobooks. It loosens me up, and puts me in a good mood. In the past year, I have watched Peep Show (a ridiculously funny British show) and have been listening to a book by Adam Carolla.

Roosh always suggested Seinfeld before you go out.

I prefer Dave Chappelle, because that's my persona and I tend to be more of a funny dude.

Find your perfect complimentary show/video to watch to de-stress you, and you'll be fine. And while you're at the bar, just talk to everyone, guys and girls included. It will give you an air of popularity and totally loosen you up as comparing to hanging out by yourself with your thoughts.
