Apparently, he is going after the intelligence agencies.

Does anyone care?

If so, post up your thoughts here.

^ that one is better, discouragingly, on the potato version as the guy with the camera scans the audience I see all dudes except for the head of 1 woman. Ready for some sort of smear about Rand Paul's war on women? Having a hot wife is going to attract enough hate already.

^^ That's just pointless man.

The fact of the matter is someone will get elected.

Although we have little power in what the government does, we can at least sacrifice a half an hour of our time to make a single vote. It might make a tiny difference, but a difference nonetheless.

You're saying you wouldn't mind Hillary Clinton over Rand Paul?

How long do you give Rand Paul as president before he starts bombing some country, helps topple the leader of another country, starts a new war somewhere in thr middle east?

I wonder if Rand Paul would really be different from any other Republican?

What would he do let's imagine:

Cut taxes for the rich mostly.

Allow more pollution to enter our atmosphere.

Cut welfare spending.

Cut anything that had to do with education, scientific research, health care, public transport.

Probably start and continue and get mixed up in mid-east wars because what is he, some radical peacenick?

Probably do nothing about immigration.

Probably loosen restriction on guns.

What else? Oh yea say "liberty" a lot.

The most surprising thing would be if he actually did not get us involved in any wars, actually rolled back spying on American citizens, did something about the huge amount of Americans in jail for non-violent crimes... Doubt any of that would pass with Dems or Reps.

I wonder if he would too. What does his voting record say?

His father has been consistent. More so than any other politician to my knowledge.

We were meant for far more than to suffer in our self created prisons only to die alone. It doesn't have to be that way. It never did.

Voting record as a Senator isn't indicative of what you get done as President.

You've seen how Republicans have blocked lots of what Obama has tried to do.

Republicans also blocked some of George Bush's ideas, like immigration reform.

So it's more about what you can get Democrats and Republicans to agree on doing, which is usually the same exact shit that's been going on.

Quote:Cut anything that had to do with education, scientific research, health care, public transport.

Including funding for bullshit feminist "research" and propaganda programs. It's inconceivable that this wouldn't be the first on the chopping block when education and science cuts were concerned.

Quote:Cut welfare spending.

Including funding for single mothers and other forms of transfers like alimony.

I'm not saying you're not potentially right here, but cuts are not always a bad thing. Remember who benefits the most from all of these things.

The rich have gotten richer under Obama despite him raising taxes on them. The truly rich don't pay taxes. They own things. Taxes on things you own are minimal v. income taxes. The rich will always find a way to dodge the tax man, and if they run out of options, they move their investments overseas and we get none of it.

Raising taxes on the rich, simply means they pass that cost on to the middle class consumer of their goods.

Pollution will enter our atmosphere no matter what we do, because the USA is 5% of the world's population and we don't get to tell other countries how much pollution they allow. Until a true energy source that does not pollute is invented, this fact will not change.

Cut welfare spending. No matter what we want to happen regarding welfare spending, it will eventually be cut because we can't continue to borrow this much money at these rates to pay welfare forever and ever. Eventually it will get cut, and the longer we wait, the worse it will be. Flooding the country with illegal aliens certainly made the situation even worse.

Cut govt. spending on these 4 things and put some of it into the hands of the more efficient free market? A case could be made for this. Certainly what we have done the last 6 years is not working.

The Middle East is a dumpster fire, and the current administration is just as much to blame as anyone else, maybe even more so. There will be another great war there, eventually, no matter who is in office.

True, the Republicans have been soft on immigration.

Loosen gun restrictions. A red pill male can only hope so. I would rather be free to protect my own house, rather than call the police and hope they arrive in time.

Ok what I am asking is, would Rand Paul be any different in those regards than any other Republican?

Some people are such partisan hacks they just see political phrases and go into takking points mode...

The only way to judge a politician is to judge him by his actions because you cannot trust their words alone. Do your research and come to your own conclusion about Mr. Paul. Check out his sponsored bills and bills he's introduced to the Senate.

He's tried to do a lot of things I agree with and some I don't, but on average he is better than most of the scumbags in DC.

Probably true. Is he the perfect candidate? Not at all. But he is probably the best among those with a real possible shot.

Would he be all that different than most other Republicans? Probably not. We can hope so. But he might be a little better. Regardless it is hard to imagine one can get much worse than Obama has been to middle class men. Hillary might try to out do him though, if there is enough left to take from the middle class by Jan. 2017.

Many are saying Rand Paul is now pandering and flip-flopping on issues to appear more palatable to the American public for the 2016 election, as opposed to the "fringe" libertarian policies him and his father put forth. If elected, however, I think he would be more true to his libertarian roots rather than trying to please both parties because he's already in office.

It's funny how the media and politicians have convinced most Americans that getting OFF the path to a police state and eventual bankruptcy is a "fringe" policy.

Americans are like North Koreans, except you don't need to put a gun to their head to buy into propaganda. They'll do it willingly with their asses up in the air.
