My mom. I broke up with my last LTR because she was untrustworthy, and then I figured out it was pointless to be in a relationship and woke up to all of this.

Depends on what we are defining "honest" as.

I had one fuck buddy when I was laid up in a small town for 6 weeks last summer who was so open with me she left nothing to be desired. Over a long period of time I don't think true honesty exists though.

I second the Mom vote. Most honest (brutal at times, but in a loving way) person I ever knew; she was my best friend. She died unexpectedly last year. Life's been very, very different without having her "voice of reason" to bounce things (everything from business ideas to vacation spots) off of.

My oldest friend is brutally honest with me. Same age as me. We were each other's first.
Any girl i've brought around she gives the brutal honesty.
She's not jealous or interested because she's married to my a friend of mine.

2.0 Relationship duress and the whole slut / whore paradigm don't allow women to be honest so if you carry that attitude around with you then you be lied to your entire life.

My mom is fairly honest compared to the majority of people, even more so than most men I know. She won't even lie to complete strangers to save herself trouble, but she's become a master of changing the subject and misdirecting thought.

Also selectively honest. They will be honest about certain things. They wont lie about the rest, it will just remain an uncovered mystery. What you don't know can't hurt you etc.

Truth is so subjective. I'm sure whatever she says, she believes is the God's honest truth.

Of course objective reality may have a different opinion, but it's merely an opinion in her mind.

Also selectively honest. They will be honest about certain things. They wont lie about the rest, it will just remain an uncovered mystery. What you don't know can't hurt you etc.

The obvious thing here is that if you give women no reason to lie to you then they have no reason to lie to you.

If they know that you regard certain things as 'slutty' then they will not be their true sexual selves with you and will either lie or be "selectively honest".

If they know that there is nothing that they cannot tell you then they will be totally open and tell you everything.

My very long-term girlfriend ex and my current girl are both very honest. I think it's a very cultural thing, one was from a patriarchal Irish family, and the other from a broken home with a very malicious mother, to the point that she fled her to get away with from her. Both of these girls never let me down in any way, never made empty promises or betrayed any confidence.
