RE: Ban "Bossy" campaign
This is just ridiculous. The kind of shit that inspires contempt towards women entirely.
I mean seriously, Jennifer Garner coming out with 'Being labelled something matters' has there ever been a more pathetic example of the kind of shit feminists come up with. The victim mentality is nothing short of an epidemic.
Also based on my experience, this doesn't bode well for the future, I know a lot of girls age 18 to early 20's who idolise the jumped up, obnoxious hypocrite that is Beyoncé. Even just in general, women choose terrible role models. All of this pro fem 'I'm a boss' crap is damaging.
I think it's absolutely true that women make poor leaders based on many reasons some of which have already been looked at. Dusty's post on how women are predisposed to care for children in a certain way and how that relates to their handling of adult groups was excellent. I don't think I will ever be inspired or truly lead by a woman, I'm not sure it's possible. My previous female boss was a micromanaging control freak, she would instigate new 'rules' every single week for the shear hell of it. In reality they are nothing more than control measures, our staff turnover was comically high as a result and she has since been transferred.
Men do great things, men inspire other men to do great things.

RE: Ban "Bossy" campaign
Yeah, this is easily the dumbest thing I've seen in 2014 so far, as I've said elsewhere. Keep in mind I observe Bill de Blasio for my work. But hizzoner can't hold a candle to feminist hamstering.
However there was one interesting bit about this. On the original video one commenter mentioned a lot of the problems facing boys - elevated suicide rates, under-representation in college admissions and degrees, etc. Now all these things are true, but I replied that society doesn't give a shit about boys and never did, and never will. Sperm is cheap, eggs are expensive and all that.
But I continued that I was totally fine with this. Why? Because it means we're spared of inane bile such as this. The best of us will get together, change our thinking, and form plans of action to break through barriers and solve our own problems. That's what being a man is all about, and why we will be spared "Lean In" obnoxiousness. I wrote about this in further depth on my little blog.
So let them "Lean In" and try to #BanBossy. In the meantime I'll be scultping my body, trying to start a couple of new online businesses and work towards a better IRL position, and continuing forward with writing my book.
See? They complain. I do. I know society doesn't give a shit about me, and I'm fine with that, because I don't want to be a coddled victim.

I agree with you only in part.
Women aren't meant to lead children. They are meant to lead babies....
I find that men in fact are FAR better at leading children than women - and by children I mean ages - 5+.
Children possess basic reasoning skills and I find that men tap into that and get compliance from children far better than the female hysteria and micro-managing. Women even drive children crazy.
Bottom line: Women are NOT fit to lead anything by and large. Yes there area exception - obviously. Where they are best as leaders is when they are in fact figureheads and pose as feminine inspiration:
-Queen Elizabeth, Mary, etc....

RE: Ban "Bossy" campaign
This woman is loathsome, but incredibly well-connected. I remember when her "Lean In" book came out last year. I've never seen ANY book get more publicity. This bitch was fucking everywhere in the media. It was unbelievable. And now she's back with another feminist crusade, which is getting similar media hype (a frontpage Google link? Can any of our IM guys put a dollar figure value on that?)
What we're witnessing is intentional and calculated cultural poisoning. It's not like this woman is doing this stuff on her own and literally the entire American media apparatus simultaneously decided it was awesome and to give her massive publicity. No, it's quite obvious that this is being pushed. Managing editors, television producers, etc... are getting calls from ownership. "Hey, Sheryl Sandberg has a new thing. I'd like to see a big feature on it."
Why is this so obvious? Because clearly there's zero fucking money in any of this. Does anyone really think that #BanBossy is going to draw in the readers and the viewers? Of course not. No one actually gives a shit about this nonsense. But this is how the modern media is used for propaganda and brainwashing purposes. In between the mindless celebrity gossip that passes for news these days and attracts eyeballs, you will get your regular dose of cultural Marxist agitprop, pushed by the elite. This Sandberg woman is obviously an extremely important player for them. I wouldn't be surprised if they are trying to position her to get into politics soon. Another media-created leftist superstar to ram the progressive agenda down our throats.

Tangent here, but the other day, when the Duke porn chick was talking about being a woman studies major on CNN, I asked myself, "I wonder if woman studies majors have been rising each year."Did a quick search and couldn't really find much. But I imagine it has been rising as a major.
The feminist movement may be in the end just about money and power for those driving it - like almost everything. Feminists have to make noise, find a cause, draw attention and brainwash young women, etc. It allows them to recruit and sell.
This push also encourages girls to college and major in worthless degrees, those feminists professors in those majors get tenured and cement their cause, since tenured professors can't be fired. If they can't be fired, they can just go batshit crazy and spin even more nonesense and encourage others to do so.

RE: Ban "Bossy" campaign
Thought Catalog, of all places, has a satire piece that goes in on this.
http://thoughtcatalog.com/nicole-mullen/...rls-cunty/
Quote:Now, the idea of banning language is something that rubs a lot of people the wrong way, but luckily we’re making a lot of progress. I’m actually super excited that we live in a world where censorship isn’t hated as much as it used to be. In the 1980s, a lot of brave moms recognized that Judas Priest and Dungeons and Dragons would cause children to grow up to be murderers and psychopaths. They called for both to be banned, and unfortunately, they failed. While they turned out to be wrong about all of that, their hearts were in the right place, and now, 30 years later, we know what’s really hurting kids: non-fat Barbie dolls and words like bossy and cunty.

RE: Ban "Bossy" campaign
I've seen some backlash to this on Twitter from other feminists and progressives:
Laura the Laurakeet @laurakeet Mar 10
So we end up with very powerful, influential, white feminist leaders throwing proverbial pennies at the patriarchy. Like #banbossy
Lauren Chief Elk @ChiefElk Mar 10
I think "be nice, especially to white women" is the pillar of mainstream feminist anti-violence & all of that is wrapped into this.
Sydette @Blackamazon Mar 10
I don't need a hashtag a spiffy website a cool meme. I NEED a living wage a responsive support system health care and safety
Molly White @molly0x57 Mar 10
3/6 But with that much money and influence, why aren’t you working towards ending harassment and violence against women,…
Molly White @molly0x57 Mar 10
4/6 …poor access to childcare, unequal pay, etc.? Or ending the issues within *your own* campaign that seems to ignore anyone who is not…
Molly White @molly0x57 Mar 10
5/6 …white, cisgendered, heterosexual, and mid- to upper-class?
Molly White @molly0x57 Mar 10
6/6 #BanBossy comes off as a poorly-veiled marketing campaign for Sandberg’s book.

Scorpion: A long overdue + 1 on my part.
I agree with you almost 100%, but let me just play devil's advocate here on the issue of there being no money in any of this and delve deeper into the issue.
I think that there is definitely money to be made in this, only it's a long term strategy. This is part of a broader approach to hollow out the middle class and destroy the self-sufficiency of men, and by extension, the family unit, Western culture and so on. If this were only coming from a woman in a gender studies department, I could accept that it's only cultural Marxism (which would be bad enough). Sandberg is not an academic ensconced in an ivory tower though. She is part of the new robber baron demographic. She is part of the new would be aristocracy. She is very, very rich, and wants more wealth, more tangible power and so on. There is absolutely nothing abstract about this woman or her pals. Politics, business and the media all converge in this way. There is no private sector anymore (in the sense of a guy just working in/running a business without the long arm of crony capitalists/politicians reaching in). There can be no more private sector. She, and her friends, are the Cathedral, only they're the inner circle. They're not the useful idiots. They're the ones who really benefit from the Cathedral. I know you know all about the Cathedral. This is a classic Cathedral move. Indeed, this is indicative of something: The Cathedral are becoming ever more open and brazen in their machinations because they believe they're ever closer to fulfillment of them. They know they have us largely broken and on the run. This is the cavalry running us down after our front ranks have broken. They're going for a rout now.
Poor, stupid people -- and by poor, I'm referring to most of the middle class too -- go to work like good little drones and buy what they're meant to. There is tons of money to be made off such people. There is not, on the other hand, tons of money to be made from people who are self-sufficient and minimalist in their material desires, who do not define their lives by what they consume, what they are told to consume. Furthermore, people who do not spend every moment of every day working or consuming have time on their hands to read and think, and they are very dangerous people to the establishment. The Western male mindset is a very, very dangerous thing to these people and must be dismantled from every possible angle so that they can fully become our overlords.

Good point.
Not only that, but I've noticed boys from an early age divide themselves into that order: "You're the lookout, I'll do the signs, Tommy can be the brains and Billy's the muscle." When I went into the working world, I was surprised at how men fell into this too. I was always the "creative one," never the boss, but it suited me fine.
The women in the office, as you state, did NOT fall into hierarchies like this and the turnover of female employees was astounding. It seemed like every week we had someone new.
