Justin Bieber Deposition
I'm not sure if anyone has seen this yet, but Bieber acts pretty hilariously throughout the deposition. He makes faces, appears to almost challenge the prosecution lawyer to a duel (in response to a question about Selena Gomez), says he doesn't know when he was asked if hes been to Australia etc.

I saw this. it reminded me of the Lil wayne in court recordings. I thought it was pretty entertaining, he was like some sort of drugged up super villain.

looking for a new signature.

A lot of those questions were actually really off topic. They were trying to trap him on stuff, and he was pissed. But, like Robert Greene says, remain unreactive. That was his only issue. Telling the other lawyer, "no I won't answer that" and making them define the terms of every question isn't a terrible idea though.

This is about his bodyguard attacking a photographer.

I dunno' how asking about Selena Gomexz has any relevence. Or even how it could be a 'trap' for him.

it sounds as if they have a few different things that they would be able to charge him with, and according to procedure, they doing anything they can to catch him in conflicting statements.

Why can't they just subpoena the NSA for all of his texts, phone calls, pictures, and GPS movements, and just go off of that information?

That's where our justice system is headed to anyway..... why are we masquerading with all of this constitutional procedural bullshit?

RE: Justin Bieber Deposition
I care absolutely zero about the guy or his music, not even positive I've ever heard one song, but the negative media frenzy around him lately is pretty sickening.
Young attractive male with fame, money, power, and a healthily narcissistic attitude. Gee, I wonder which one of those traits is the real reason Gawker et al. are hating on him. Dodgy

If some young Hollywood broad had the identical legal/PR troubles as him right now it'd be a blurb on page 2 and likely fade from memory altogether in three weeks, with lots of outcry on the side about how this poor young womyn is being shamed for 'living it up' and being so independent.

If you've been to any single night club you've heard his music.

I personally think he's the fucking man. Oneitis or not, looks like he's still banging her. He has "fuck you" money and then some. He says and does whatever he wants. That's a win in my book.

The kid's a little prick, of course.

But I have to side with him on this one. Looks like some bullshit, frivolous shake-down litigation against a celebrity. The lawyer was being a dick, asking all these irrelevant questions.

He's probably just fed up and tired of the whole charade.

I think any one of us, subjected to this kind of bullshit day in, day out, would eventually come close to blowing a gasket.

This is not a criminal prosecution. There is no "prosecuting attorney," and nobody is going to charge The Biebs with anything. This is a deposition pursuant to a civil lawsuit. From the video, it appears a fan is suing him because one of Beiber's bodyguards punched the fan.

There's really no such thing as an irrelevant question at a deposition. Depos are part of the discovery process, a portion of civil lawsuits prior to court hearings where each side seeks information from the other. The standard for discovery applies, which is that a deponent may be asked anything "reasonably calculated to lead to relevant evidence." So if Selena Gomez may have witnessed Bieber's bodyguard punching a fan, the plaintiff's lawyer is doing his job by finding out if Selena was around during the alleged encounter.

The lawyer is not trying to catch Bieber in conflicting statements yet. He wants to nail down a narrative so if the story changes at trial* he can impeach Bieber's credibility by bringing up the sworn depo transcript.

Some of you might be wondering, "Hmm. What do I do if I ever get deposed?" It's not as uncommon as you may think. Here's the quick guide:

1. Wait. Let your lawyer object if necessary.
2. Tell the truth, and only the truth.
3. Tell as little of the truth as possible.

Example:

Q: Mr. Bieber, have you ever gone ass to mouth on Selena Gomez?
A: (pause) (pause) (pause) (pause) Yes. (shuts up and waits for next question)

*This case will not go to trial.

RE: Justin Bieber Deposition
Quick side question.

This came up in the chatroom the other day.

I know alot of guys hate on Justin Bieber - because his music is shit and he looks about 12. I personally think he is pretty funny and he certainly has a good taste in the wimmnz.

Anyway - alot of women would say the same thing. And hate on the Biebz and say they cannot imagine how any girl could find him attractive.

Well - here is the thing. In the real world - if that same chick bumped into Bieber in a club and he wanted to get it on with her. Do you think she would go for him?

Do you think that level of fame, staus, pre-selection, above average looks and money would be irresistible to an ordinary chick if they unexpectedly ran into him in a club? There is no way to know for sure. But I think the answer is 'yes'.

Which means - for any of the broads you are banging - no matter how cool and level headed you think she is. She would jump on Bieber's dick if given half the chance.

I am just curious. Because I think alot of guys believe chicks when they moan "I dunno' why people think Bieber is hot - I wouldn't sleep with him in a million years."
