That's an interesting way to look at things. But it doesn't offer much background. Were those boxes brought? Or did they find them there? Are they friends or strangers?

But take something away from someone with privilege, to help someone too stupid to figure out they need to think things through on their own.

I see the box on the left as equality. Everyone is treated the same. But different outcomes.

I see the box on the right as fairness. Everyone is treated differently. But the same outcome.

I have to say that this picture is deceptive.

To me at least, it appears to compare the boxes with wealth. If I take this to be true, the message it seems to be saying is that the taller man or the more fortunate one should give up his box to the shorter man, the less fortunate one. And while I have no qualms about whether to espouse generosity, and believe me, I grew up in a Third World country and have seen first-hand the cold, hard truth of life in poverty, the issue that I take is this: Who determines how generous I should be?

If in this picture we are presented with, the more fortunate man willingly gave his box to the shorter man, then that had been his decision. One that I can most certainly respect, as I do with such people as the likes of Bill Gates who have amassed wealth and recognize that they have no need for a certain amount beyond what they require for their goals and have willingly given the rest of it away to charity. The key word is willingly.

But what if in this picture, the taller man worked all day long to build this box at great cost to himself, only to have the product of his labor be taken and given away to the less fortunate man? Should he continue to do this during every game? At what point is equality met? And who determines this? What is his incentive to keep doing so, other than what might be called his moral responsibility? What if the less fortunate man reacts to this by being lax not providing a box of his own, expecting that it will be provided for him? Should the fortunate man be pressed into providing more simply because he can?

It's a nice picture. But its simplicity is found wanting when faced with the complexity that is our society. The sad truth is, we aren't equal, and even though we may all decide to strive for equality, our nature will most likely default to survival before that, especially when placed over the fire.

My simple opinion.

Look beyond the propaganda. 'Conservative' and 'Liberal' do not really exist. They are hysterical imaginings, far too convenient as labels to be anything near the actual truth.

That's a bit reductionist and over simplifies the liberal agenda if it's it meant as in illustration of what true liberalism wants.

I think most liberals would say that they want fair rules for everybody, and would argue that at this time in history, there's no good reason why everyone shouldn't have access to at least the basic neccessaties of life ( healthcare, education, a roof to live under).

Is it so bad that the kids in the illustration all want to be able to watch the game from the same height?

Well done, but the the third picture on the right is left out. That's the picture of the army of over-educated useless idiots who the fans, at gunpoint, pay billions per year in taxes to make sure the boxes are even. And they still haven't figured out that the fan on the left is developmentally disabled, the fan in the middle wants to be left alone, and the fan on the right made billions from creating a website and is only down on the field to bring his two friends up to his sky box.

But really the second picture is pure fantasy. By the time the public has become dumbed-down enough by the useless idiots so as to be fixated on box height the infrastructure has inevitably deteriorated to the extent that the sprinklers don't work and the field is brown and the stadium is falling apart and so much wealth has been extracted from the people to pay for standing height boxes that there is little time for recreation. Everyone is standing in food lines but the dissenters. They are being shot in the back of the head or working in labor camps.

Realistically the taller dude doesn't need the box; help that short guy out, and everybody can enjoy the game. This isn't taking anything from anybody, but it is fixing a obvious defect that exists.

"Equality" is bullshit. How about just being respectful and willing to help your fellow man.

Or to relate to the picture.

In the picture on the left, the guy on the left built a box so he could see over the fence. The other two complained that it wasn't "fair" that he built a box for himself and demanded he built a box for them too.

So the govt., backed by feminist liberals, forced the man on the left to build the other two a box as well, or go to jail (aka not pay your taxes).

But this still was not good enough and the govt. came back and demanded he build more boxes for the other two, as it is only "fair" that despite how much you work, you all get the same outcome.

I should point out that meme is doctored. The original is supposed to be "Equality" on the left vs "Social Justice" on the right.

In theory that's what hardcore lefties 'think' of when they 'talk' about "Social Justice"; but in reality and practice none of them would get boxes because they are men, and all would have to dig a hole to the depth of one box because they are white.

They could all be men or children or a combo of the two. If they are all men, then the small one is a midget. What's wrong with giving a midget a box to stand on so he can watch the game?

They could also be asian or Latino, not just white.
