Seriously, while I Realize this should be in the unpopular opinions thread... When a person acts like a wild mad dog, they should be put down like one as well. This is not some "oh, we're not sure he's a real murderer" there were what, two dozen witnesses on the bus who saw him start hacking the other passenger on the bus?

The RCMP filmed the man eating the head right?

This does not show Canada's compassion for the mentally ill, it shows utter weakness in protecting its citizens from danger.

Fucking assholes all of them. FUck fuck fuck. This is old news too I think, but it still just gets me hopping mad about what a bunch of useless fucks those assholes in the Justice system are.

I remember when this happened. The real testament to how canada has fallen is that one lunatic with a knife was able to saw off a guy's head and eat him while a greyhoud bus full of people watched. 60 vs. 1 they could have stopped it.

Now of course you have this, one week of missed prescriptions and he could do it again.

My favourite part of this story was all the puns that came afterword, like Greyhound's new company slogan; "Where will you beheading today?"

I sometimes have to drive by the place where this happened (it's on the way to Winnipeg). There's literally nothing but dirt farms and some kind of chemical plant nearby. Crappy way and place to go.

IIRC, Tim was already pretty dead. The killer is huge, psychotic, and has a knife. I'm not going to risk my life to stop a corpse from being desecrated. A couple of guys on the bus stepped up and kept the nutjob on the bus until the cops showed up.

Seriously. It says more than the entire bus fled. Not one person tried to step up to a little chinese guy?

On another note, it's crazy that he ate this guy raw. No oyster sauce or anything.

Canada has always been soft on crime. There was a guy few years back. Merlon I think his name was. His third offense at collecting/trading CP and what does he get?

Three years. THREE years for a 3rd offense. The first two times he got busted was less than a year in prison. Message is this: if you are into beheadings or child porn, then Canada is right up your alley with its super-light sentencing laws.

He is just a few years away from ending up in a single occupancy hotel on the Downtown Eastside and being knocked down while stumbling into the middle of East Hastings at night while high as a kite, and with no warning or purpose. No jokes. That is what it is like there. Many people high as a kite stumbling along the sidewalk. They see something on the other side of the street and just veer into East Hastings, a 6 lane Road in places, without looking.

This guy obviously needs strong psychiatric medication just to get through the day without harming others, or himself. He can't be allowed to go walkies. What if they lose track of him. A day without his meds could result in someones death.

Very irresponsible.
