Maybe the target audience for this car will identify with the ad, I don't know . American innovation has given a lot to this world but mocking 'other countries' for taking taking more than two weeks off in August and relaxing after work at the expense of obtaining more stuff seems out of touch.

Unfortunately, the reason America's economy has gone to shit is that we've exported much of our manufacturing to lower-cost countries, who in some cases (like China) just steal the technology and make it cheaper, so not only do we lose jobs but we also lose technology.

Not because American's want to be like Europeans and enjoy longer vacation time.

Yeah - the ad isn't aimed at me. But I can respect what it is saying.

Pick a random country - and imagine it hadn't existed for the past hundred years. The truth is that in most cases - the rest of the world wouldn't be much different.

But imagine America hadn't existed in the past hundred years?

That is just impossible to get my head around.

So - from a Englisman - I have to say props to America.

Besides all of that, how did the fucking wardrobe stylist for this commercial allow him to wear a 2 button suit with the bottom button buttoned on camera?
