Any tips on Bucharest?
Hi all I will be in Bucharest from 26th June for 4 days with a few of my friends. just wondering if anyone had any upto date recommendations on clubs, bars etc. We are looking to go all out as it is my brothers stag so all info would be greatly appreciated such as high end clubs and bars we may go to.

I have read all the threads on Bucharest and they are very informative. I am also looking for a couple of apartments, ideally penthouse style and so far Booking.com has only been the site with nicer apartments but if anyone has any further info I would be very thankful. Also which area is the best to stay to be close to the nightlife?

Finally we are all British Asians, just curious as to how we will be received out there. We will be suited and booted on a couple of nights and we don't plan on hanging around mob handed in the clubs which always looks dubious to the girls. Ofcourse we will be splashing the cash but that should not be the type of game we will be playing but I know it always helps!

Looking at your other thread...

Are you Indian or Asian? Understanding India is South Asia technically...but still, it's misleading.

At any rate, simply for the experience of a massive club that's very entertaining (however not the best for gaming in my opinion) is Bamboo.

If you want to get laid, I'd suggest sticking to the college district. Find a hotel/apartment anywhere around there, and you should be good to go.

If you decide on coming to Bucharest, i suggest you find a central located pad around Centrul Vechi/Unirii Square or Universitate. That's like point 0 in Bucharest nightlife. If you guys plan on staying for 4 days that means you have plenty of time to troll most if not all of the important clubs and find something that you like. In general what you will find is that music is really..really loud and that people come out in big groups and rarely interact with others, making it a little more difficult to game. Some higher-end clubs you guys will probably wanna check-out if you have cash to blow would be: Player, Le Gaga, Bamboo, Gaia, Fratelli. Expect some of the most expensive service that you will encounter in Bucharest, luxury, very hot girls, higher social class people mixed with regular class people blowing their paychecks to seem high class and of course, gold-diggers. Mbare is referring to Regie, which is a campus of sorts with some clubs. Expect less luxury, louder music and college girls.

My recommendation would be to change plans and go to Mamaia instead. You've got the sea, parties and girls are more open to ONS and meeting new people. Also, there are more foreigners and tourists so you won't stand out that much, and you have all the other resorts at a few minutes drive away - one important one would be Costinesti.

I have lived in Bucharest for 9 years and I have never seen an indian guy hook up with a romanian girl. So don't get your hopes up especially for a 4 days stag party. Bucharest dosen't have a one night stand culture anyway and the girls have been getting wary of foreigners lately.

That being said, the exoticness factor might still have some value in smaller cities.

Bamboo is one of the best clubs in Bucharest although it is pretty expensive.
Casino Palace is the local casino in Bucharest where guests can enjoy inexpensive drinks while trying their hands at winning local money.

Actually when we say 'Asian' in the UK, we are referring to people of the Indian subcontinent since they make up the bulk of our ethnic minority population.
