1. My name is Athlone. There is no second 'a'.

2. I've always maintained that skin-tone is not an issue for men when it comes to black girls. Dark skin is not a downside-it can, in fact, be a plus (darker skin tends to be more durable = better aging).

The issue is with facial structure and hair texture.
Men generally prefer longer hair, and there seems to be a tendency with darker women to tend to more "natural" hair styles. That's a negative.

Facial structure is another one. Symmetrical features tend to be preferred, and if they are there(along with decent hair) then men do not care about how dark her skin is. Skin tone is not a major factor.
If a darker woman is not getting attention, then I'll tell you it has very little to do with her color.

I see where your coming from. But I think its because of their more Negroid facial features (bigger lips, larger noses) most common among blacks that make black women less attractive. Blacks naturally from my understanding have kinkier hair and it tends to be less longer for black women. i kind of feel bad for black women because this is how they were born. That their natural features tend to be a turn off to men.
