JP Morgan is an institution with over 255,000 employees. The current suicide rate for many western countries is over 10 per 100,000 per year, e.g. about 12 in the US. That only two employees have recently committed suicide compared to a rough expectation of 25.5 (=10*255,000/100,000) per year for the equivalent general population shows shows that the suicide rate at JP Morgan is at or below that of the general population. This is barely newsworthy, not the giant, conspiratorial, suicide wave that ZeroHedge makes it out to be.

Only 23 more employees need to jump to their deaths from JP Morgan office buildings worldwide in 2014 before it becomes average for the general population.

But there are more suicides (or mysterious deaths) than just the JP Morgan employees. Excluding them, this is what was reported Feb. 12 at InfoWars:

...Mike Dueker, the chief economist at Russell Investments, fell down a 50 foot embankment in what police described as a suicide. Dueker was reported missing on January 29 by friends, who said he had been “having problems at work."

On January 26, former Deutsche Bank executive Broeksmit was found dead at his South Kensington home after police responded to reports of a man found hanging at a house. According to reports, Broeksmit had “close ties to co-chief executive Anshu Jain.”

Richard Talley, 57, founder of American Title Services in Centennial, Colorado, was also found dead last week after apparently shooting himself with a nail gun.

Tim Dickenson, a U.K.-based communications director at Swiss Re AG, also died last month, although the circumstances surrounding his death are still unknown.

Yes, but you also need to look carefully at the actual conclusions inside. The paper shows the poor (social class IV and V) to have about double the suicide rate when compared to the rich (social class I).

While that's a large difference indeed, it just means that we now need "only" 11 more JP employees to kill themselves to bring them in line with what's expected from their demographic instead of 23. E.g., even in the light of these findings, the suicide rate for JP employees is still staggeringly low*.

* = from what we know. I'm sure that no news sources would report the suicide of a common bank teller or secretary.

Dang, that doesn't sound like an immediate death. I know in the movies they grab a nail gun and shoot the bad guy. But that seems like a slow bleed out. But I have zero understanding of nail gun damage and suicide attempts.

hit your late fifties, getting fat, tired, and harried with some bitch you don't like any more and you'll see why suicide is not some totally exotic outlandish act.

I've avoided 1.5 of the above three and I can still understand why people want to check out rather than face old age.

Decline and death isn't optional. You can decide that's a game you don't want to play, take your basketball and go home.

Something smells too fishy for these guys to just be comitting suicide on a whim especially when most of their business units are being investigated for some type of fraud.

There was one guy who killed himself with a nail gun. Not one shot to the head, but 8. Fucking 8 nails from his head to torso.

I don't know about you, but from some of the suicide suvivors i've met they immediately get second thoughts after the first cut, jump, or when they're dangling after they've tried to choke themselves.

8 nails into one guy? That's way too gruesome to go and its appaling the police are looking at this like a suicide. I call BS.
