Why would a girl like that be so willing to risk public scrutiny to get the bang?

I think that it has something to do with the fact that people in that area - Taiwan, Japan, etc., tend to live at home until marriage. That damages the opportunity for sexual promiscuity... at least at home. But not on the train, apparently.

I'm Taiwanese and and I can confirm that people do indeed live at home way longer there then in the west. My dad actually lived at home until he was in his 30s and he actually was still living there when he was married with 2 kids. Some times I do wonder when he managed to get enough privacy to impregnate my mother with my sister and me...

Nah there are those kind of hotels on every street corner in Taiwan. There are usually two prices displayed - one for an overnight stay, and one to "take a rest." "Taking a rest" is obviously a euphemism for a short time stay to fuck your girl. It's really cheap and makes it easy as hell to convince a girl to spend some time with you - logistics aren't really a problem there because there will always be a hotel within five minute walk.

Every couple of years there's also a story on the news about some sordid goings on regarding public transport. Why PT, exactly, I don't know. An island of engineers fascinated with stuff that moves, perhaps? There was one a couple of years ago about guys renting out whole carriages on the national rail network, bringing hookers in and having massive orgies up and down the country (can't remember if there were ordinary people in the other carriages). Then there was one about some seventeen year old girl who was literally being gang banged by the entire drivers' lounge down at the local bus depot.

Everyone goes absolutely insane every time one of these stories comes out. I guess it's more exciting than the usual pap about giant yellow ducks or new beef noodle stands.

Taiwan (and probably much of East Asia) must be the place that is simultaneously the most sexualised country on the planet and also the most in denial about that.

I remember that they would also play fake porn during night time on regular TV channels. I call it fake porn because it was obvious the couples were not actually penetrating each other but they would attempt to shoot it in a way to make it look like they were.
