Femen just broke into a Catholic church (not cathedral as stated in the link) in Stockholm and stage a half-naked protest.

Sweden has been protestant since the reformation (for the minority that is not agnostic/atheist that is). They are picking a target so small that it can only gain from this publicity.

The old adage about feminism existing merely to brutalize its followers (i.e. the weakest and most complacent) comes true in another form again. They'd never dare do such a thing in a mosque, especially not in one in a less developed country, even though those places might actually be oppressing them in some tangible way.

The mechanism is very similar to when Hugo Schwyzer advises women to fuck men in the ass with strap-on dildos: the only possible target that it might work on is the one that needs it the least and is the least likely to resist.

While I agree with you in principle I actually have to give some small credit to Femen Stockholm in that they've actually done this in a mosque before.

So why are they above religious hate laws?

Those cameramen materialized out of nowhere. Funny that in a womans mind, protesting requires a PR entourage.

It bears repeating again (and again, and again...): these women are paid employees of FEMEN, not volunteers. They may or may not care about the organization's stated goals. Of course there's cameras, that's part of the job. A more apt description than protestors would be feminist mercenaries.
