Just a straight-up question, not talking in terms of specific examples (ie - your best boys, your wife/LTR), just in general and nothing ulterior...do you find it easier to laugh, hang out with and have fun with men, or with women? If you got invited to an event and your table was all guys or all girls, who would you get along with the best?

As much as I love women I wouldn't entrust my life to my girl friends where I could easily count few occasions that my male friends saved me from either injury or death.

Women are not much fun they are different then us and I think thats the main reason why I get along with men better.

Depends on the type of men or women, so I'm not checking either box.

I'd say men, but if the table you mention was a bunch of Obama-loving indie hipsters who talk in effete voices about "hate speech," well, I'd do better at a table of redneck women talking about beer, barbecue, and the good ol' second amendment.

I use this example because I've worked for a long time in an industry with equal numbers of men and women and who I get along with really does depend more on what they're like than their sex.

Now, if I could only find that table of country gals IRL...

I'm the opposite, i have closer and more real relationships with women. I wish i had closer guy friends, but i always seem to get screwed over in the end. It sounds pathetic, but this forum is the largest group of dudes i'd be cool hanging with.

I have a few, old male friends I get along with very well. I can speak my mind when I talk to them. Unfortunately, they live in different cities, even different countries. However, most of the new people I talk to are girls. I try to make friends with guys too, but for some reason many new guys are often as flakey/unreliable as girls. S,o when I have to deal with guys who behave like that, I'm thinking, "Why the fuck should I bother "gaming" you and trying to meet, I might as well put the same effort and game a girl, at least there is the incentive of getting laid".

Outside of 1 or 2 female relatives I can say that all of my female friends I have had in the past pale in comparison to the few exceptional male friends I've had. Just comparing them I'd have to ask if they were even friends at all.

Excellent point and one worth expanding on. A lot of men in the real world are less like the guys here and more like the White Knights and Betas we can't stand.

At work I've historically had two or three close guy friends who all are the same archetype. They're sort of tough guys who will speak of things like "the male code" and value loyalty and integrity (you don't cockblock, you don't hit on your buddy's girl, you don't sell out your buddy to management, etc.).

But what drives us crazy are the guys we feel have no regard for this type of etiquette: guys who are petty and jealous, or suck up to women at the expense of men, or badmouth you to office girls to try and score points, etc.

American society is comprised of a fair number of such men, I'd say. It doesn't make life easy.

summer or harvest festivals in towns adjacent to 2nd tier cities in the midwest or south.

Unfortunately I'm in the same boat. It is tiring dealing with supplicating betas and manginas.

I generally engage more with women but that's not for want of genuine male friendships. These days, it's hard to find a man worthy of your game, if that's what you'd call the process of getting to know and trust a dude. There just aren't many good men out there. At least with women, you stand a chance of ejaculation before going to bed.

I seem to get along with both pretty well. I've had a variety of male and female friends for most of my life. Sometimes I've had more male friends, sometimes more female friends but I think it evens out over time.
