She's continuing her campaign against successful white men. Here is an article on Valleywag from last week (part of the Gawker network) where the following ran under her byline:

Shawn Fanning was the guy who helped develop Napster. Here she authors a piece wherein she gives a platform to his ex to level accusations of being a deadbeat dad and guilty of delinquent child support. It was only after the piece ran that she could be bothered to try and independently verify the claims of Fanning's ex:

Now, she claims Fanning is denying child support for their 2-year-old daughter, Scarlett. [Update: Valleywag received new information that Fanning has been sending significant, regular payments for Scarlett's care for two years.

Can Fanning sue Gawker for libel and slander? My understanding is that truth is always a defense to libel.

Gawker is reporting what his ex is saying. It is true that his ex said those things. Gawker is not printing anything libelous.

Edit: IANAL. Perhaps a lawyer can confirm/deny.

Yeah, they did use allegedly in the title. Still, very scummy. I was reading a profile of Jay Glazer over the weekend in Esquire. Part of why he is so trusted is he has a rule of three: he never reports anything unless he can get three sources to independently verify the report.
