What is interesting is it isn't really until you see her side by side with the model that she really get's knocked down several points. It's like being a bar that's a thirsty sausage fest with a few 4-6's getting all the attention because there is nothing else, then a couple of 8-9's walks in.....Their perception changes.

There is a scene is the chick flick "ghost of girlfriends past" (I this that is, not sure all that crap look the same) where the main character played by Matthew McConaughey is watching a group of girls with another womanizer, he thinks the one in the middle is the best looking but the womanizer make a trick with his hands where he blocks the other girls surrounding the girl in the middle out of sight, this makes the hot girl looks plain.

Is like the cheerleader effect
