Bayless is a clown, but he gets the better of Sherman here. Not really a surprise, it's Skip's job to be in front of a camera all day and appear practiced and smooth. Sherman comes across as petty, insecure, and autistically focused on repeating that he is a more accomplished human being than Bayless.

This was disrespectful and completely unnecessary on Sherman's part. Skip has been a columnist and journalist for over 40 years. He became one of the highest paid sportswriters in the country at 27 for a paper in Texas. He's the host on one of the most watched sports shows on television. People don't like him because of the way he argues, or how he "trolls" but that's the fucking point. He appeals to the masses, and they may hate him, but he puts himself in that position. I have more respect for Bayless than any of the Grantland athlete worshipper dweebs.

So you respect a paid troll more than writers who give you actual analysis of the game without hyperbole, contrived "debates", fake opinions and race baiting.

He's proven that he's a great journalist, now his job is entertainment and he's very good at it. First Take is on at my place every morning. Skip and Stephen A. have a great rapport and are oftentimes hilarious, and more often than they're given credit for, talk about real issues in sports and culture. Unbelievable as it may sound, Skip is good for an insightful point or though provoking argument outside of the realm of Tim Tebow.

tl;dr I like the show. Sue me.

Hey, if you like the show good for you but personally I can't imagine wasting time watching the show or listening to its podcast. If you have noticed before his M.O used to be to troll LeBron, now it's trolling KD.

Sad thing is Stephen A. Smith can actually be a sharp, insightful, and smart analysis when he wants to be. He puts up a big ego and act but the First Take franchise hurts his personal brand. Him and Bayless run the Minstrel Show at ESPN, First Take is LCD Barber Shop floor talk for simple minded minorities and rednecks.

The guest panelists they have talk shitty and have no proper television speak-type. If your on television you have to be trained in a proper way to talk, some sports analysts struggle with it at first, or they find there own way to hack it like Charles Barkley (Kenny Smith has it down, Ernie Johnson is a season professional obviously, Shaq is still learning). You generally don't roll people out onto TV unless they reach a certain level, unless they are high profile and needed for the popularity of the show (Ray Lewis on ESPN Sunday Countdown, Magic Johnson for a good 5 years on ABC, Bill Simmons struggled in his first few months on NBA Countdown also). If you don't the analysts, whom are supposed to sound sharp and smart, end up sounding like idiots especially if the show revolves around empty hot box talk like First Take.

I listen to it from time to time when I got no other sports podcasts to go to or if I am on a long bus trip someplace. Last one I listened two Skip had to audacity to bring up Tebow and still try to claim that dude has some game left in him... pure troll shit to throw meat out to twitter and to start arguments.

I have to ask though... what does AMOG mean?
