So, if anybody doesn't know. I am a Mexican-American from who the bay area who is of college age. I go to college in one of the more high end areas of the bay area (I won't say where). So, my area is mostly middle class whites, asians, and other Hispanic-Americans who are ok or well-off; maybe your other random ethnicity.

So, as I start school today, I started out my day in my German class. I started class about a week ago, so I haven't gotten to know my classmates that well. When I first got there, I wanted to chat up with my classmates who were there, before any chicks showed up or my professor. The ones who were there were all males, and all americans (born and raised). I tried asking how was their day, how they're feeling, etc. etc. Continued on for at most, 3 minutes and then the conversations died out, as my classmates just lost steam.

For those who want to know my personality and style, I am what you would think as your average middle class, social, and polite Latin guy (but of course, I speak english with a middle class Northern Californian accent ). I like to talk to anybody and get to know my environment. I would talk with anybody about anything.

So, to continue on the story, when class ended, I stayed for a few minutes to talk to two chicks. I asked them if they're foreigners, and they said yes. One was a Polish girl (she speaks very good english, and she was good looking) and the other was an South Korean girl (not my cup of tea but she was cool). We talked for a bit, but had to leave as I needed to buy books for the class.

When I was in the book store waiting in line to buy my books, I was chatting up with the people in line to burn time. In front of me was a Korean chick who was buying an economics book. I chatted up with her about economics and we were going a bit deeper until she met up with her friend (no problem there, as they were good friends and haven't seen each other in a while). After that, I tried chatting with two Americans (one was a filipina looking girl and the other was some black-american guy). I tried testing the waters with them, but they kept giving me bullshit and short answers. Basically, didn't want to talk to me and were anti-social.

Once I get out of the bookstore, I bump into the Korean and Polish chick from my German class going to the bookstore to buy books. I approach them and we started talking about the books, as we have been having problems with the books (not getting bumbled with some crap we need). We then started talking stuff in getting to know each other and all that sort of thing. We talked for almost an hour in the quad area of our college (and this hour went quickly). We talked about the most random stuff you can think of (and yes, I mean it, lol). Once in the end, we agreed to have coffee another time and I got their numbers.

Long story short, this part of the day gives you an observation into how americans are; anti-social. as I said before, I am a polite social latin (but born in the US) guy who is down to talk to anybody and about anything. I approach people and I could turn some bullshit question into a two hour discussion. However, when it comes to Americans, Americans are a whole different ball game. I approach and even lead up the conversation with an American (this mostly applies to Americans under the age of mid-40s) and yet, they can't fucking stay in a conversation for at least 5 minutes, even when the subject/topic is given to them. Now, this applies to both genders, not just chicks.

How does this connect to anything? Well, what does it take in order to land with a girl? social skills, and at least two people to tango (in a conservation, you have to give and take, there is no other way). What do the majority of Americans lack? social skills.

How does this apply to this whole site? Part of this site is about getting and laying girls. In order to do that, part of what you need is social skills. and as I said, the majority of americans lack social skills. when this applies to american men, if you get to know a lot long enough, a lot will bitch about not finding a "good girl" to date or any chick at all to get with and lay. You see this all over the internet, and especially in other manosphere sites (i.e Happier Abroad). Why the fuck American men complain about not being able to get a girl when you're too dam fucking shallow and anti-social to even talk to another fellow male..... This really irritates me because I do the work to get with girls, and I even give tips to American men who ask me, and they don't ever apply it......

Hell, I have had Mexican nationals (and who barely have a middle school education) who live here in the US and work in the shitty jobs that 99.99% of Americans won't ever work in, give me way better, philosophical, and deeper conversations than your 20 something college educated, ultra liberal, and "anti misogynist" American.

Luckily, there are loads of foreigners (especially the foreign women ^_^ ) here in the bay area who don't have this anti-social robotic chip on their shoulders and keep my sanity. Idk how you guys who live outside of the bay area, LA, and NYC keep your sanity, if you guys know the factor I refer to in this whole post. I just know that your average American male (and luckily there are always exceptions) is just one anti-social ass who bitches about not getting a chick, and doesn't put the effort. I just had to post this, as I have been getting annoyed of this recently.

Anybody else in here has noticed this?

First things first, and not to sound like a dick, but anti-social doesnt mean someone who doesnt enjoy company or deep conversation. It refers to those people who have no empathy towards others, almost to a criminal extent.

That being said, Americans and Canadians, generally speaking, are reluctant to engage in meaningful conversation. No breaking news there.

yes, true. however, it disturbs me more because wherever I go, I either see bitches complain about not being able to find a "good" guy (this is everywhere on mainstream news sources, as the mainstream is in bed with feminists, who typically do that bitching) or in the manosphere, I see a bunch of MRAs/MGTOW people complain about not being able to find a "good" girl. and when you see the aspects of anglo north american society (doesn't apply to mexico), it shouldn't be a surprise as anglo north americans don't like talking to each other. just a thing I had to say, as I have been getting irritated with this recently.

People are pretty friendly here. Its mainly females who really have no idea how to just talk and be pleasant like a normal human being. Most people like being talked to because it makes you feel appreciated.

Personally, I don't think I'm an anti-social. I go out most weekends and have a fun time. However, if I'm just out and about, or in class or something, I generally don't really feel like talking with people that I don't know. If you're just a person that offers nothing of value (social or otherwise) to me, I can't feign that I have an interest in talking to you. I think in America, a majority of people think like this. Though if you catch them in the right situation, they can be very open and gregarious, as I would be if I was at a party or something.

I sometimes don't feel like talking to anybody as well on times, but I usually only feel like this in late afternoon and early evening. once past that, I can on to my usual self. However, even in parties at times, I encounter the same shit. Only thing is, I tolerate it even more because either I'm high or I'm too drunk to care. but you know, it can be many things.

oh yes, I forgot to mention that what I said also applies to Aussies and Brits (Irish Need No Apply on this, as Irish are always down to talk to me, especially when they find out that I am Mexican-American). and yes, I can just imagine how past Anglos are rolling on their graves as the Anglos of the past were some of the biggest alpha guys that I have ever met. and if you want to see this, talk to the G.I generation of anglos (the ones who survived the Great Depression and World War 2).

In general Americans are a helluva lot friendlier than Torontonians.

Also the friendly Latin vibe you have is golden man. That's such a valuable asset.

Mexican dude I know who lives in Toronto, he got good at game fast because he always had that friendly vibe down from growing up in Mexico(he only moved here like 4 years ago at most). He just assumes everyone will be friendly to him.

Yes HR. The only people who act creepy about talking have been younger girls and middle/upper class ones. Its no surprise since girls have the mentality that its a privilege that you have permission to speak to them. You should be happy they're letting you talk!

The problem may very well be the people in your college. I had a similar experience. I knew from the get-go that they looked and acted differently (worse) than the people I grew up with at the Jersey Shore and that they weren't as social. If you haven't already, try to take trips to Florida, Texas, New York, and Los Angeles and see if that changes your opinion.

idk about this, as I haven't met people from Toronto. I have only met canadians from western canada, New Brunswick, and Quebec. I would say that French Canadians are cool with me.

dude, you don't know how much I thanks goodness to my parents who raised me in such a conservative Mexican way and made me who I am. I fuckn love them for giving me that trait of me, but I still don't have it full on because I was born in the US, but it's still almost 100%.

I do the same as him, except with chicks (and some guys) who have the usual bad physical traits (short hair, too many tattoos, bitchy face, vibe, and movements, etc.)

It's funny how stereotypes work.

Canadians will sometimes dislike Americans, even though Americans are known as SUCH friendly people. The English are known to be cold and distant, but I found exactly the opposite when I lived there. Torontokid is right though: us Torontonians do suck.

And just in time for me to stereotype, I find Americans to be American-centric, in that they only really know about American history/culture/etc and not much more. It's their education system's fault more than anything I reckon. Or maybe it's just me being Canadian and having an inferiority complex

Americans, in my opinion, are not very friendly at all. And i blame it on a few things.

The loss of community. I know nothing of my neighbors names, thoughts, stories, anything.
And people don't seem to care. Contrast to Mexico, where i saw that everybody has a very good relationship with their neighbors. You are welcome to talk or be invited inside to eat something. The community is strong out there due to necessity and the heavy Catholic influence. My father was looking for a family member that he had not seen in awhile and did not know where she lived. I was with him in the car as he stopped and approached people until one of them told him where she lived. I was astounded. I cannot imagine that happening in parts of this Country.

The fear that has gripped this Country since 9/11 is insane. I walked outside at 9 pm and chatted with a women who lives down the street that was walking her dog. I introduced myself and jestingly said i came in peace. We chatted about this fear and find out that she had mace on her. We live in a very safe neighborhood, nothing bad ever happens other than property crimes. I have gone for runs at 1-3 am. The media does a excellent job raising fear in our fellow Americans thanks to "terrorism", violent crimes, all kinds of shit.

And finally, i blame it our narcisstic, hustle and bustle, politically correct culture. Everybody is for themselves and expected to be CONSTANTLY doing something for themselves, whether school, work, or both. You can't talk to people sometimes because they are either "busy" or distracted. We have so many distractions these days, it is pathetic.
YOU HAVE TO WATCH YOUR WORDS. One politically incorrect statement and you are ostracized by your peers, coworkers, even your so called friends. You have to not hurt anybodys feelings. Some Americans are the most stupidest people i have ever seen. I do not hold my Citizenship as a positive. This country is so far gone from the principles that founded it. It is a damn shame.

Before i end this, i will say this. America is still one of the best nations out there. You can make it here no matter what. I have met good Americans but for every 1 good citizen, there is 100 bad ones. This country is worth saving, but i do not see good things ahead.

LOL!!! First of, why should I go to Mexico? I was born in the US and I have every right to stay here as much as I want because I am a native born, US citizen. second of all, I was giving a critique of American society as a whole that needs to be addressed big time because I Keep seeing and hearing a bunch of fucking whimps here in the US constantly bitch about not being able to find a "good girl." the same applies to girls here in the US, only they say they can't find "good men." and the thing I said is one the big time reasons why; Americans as a whole, and especially with the people who are mid-40s and below lack social skills big time to the point where they won't even fucking talk to their long time neighbors.

And I have my own critiques for Mexico as well (chicks being too simpletons and provincial for my tastes, big time social-class warfare, mass corruption, etc.). man, that's so darn true. all the people here are always "busy" with crap that's really just mind-bumbling and brings no good returns. they just can't take a breather for a second and just enjoy life; we only live one life.

lol. funny enough, I was talking to this chick from NYC who goes to Stanford here in the Bay Area. out of the blue, she chimped out on me because I said to her that I would sleep with black-american chicks BUT NEVER DATE/MARRY ONE!! She then started calling me a "racist" in order to shame me, but I held my ground saying that I am not a fucking racist because I don't believe I'm superior to black-americans; I just simply don't like the attitude/behavior of 19/20 black-american chicks. It's as simple as that. Since then, I haven't spoken to the bitch, and for good reasons.

and I absolutely agree. if you put the effort into it, and you have the right skills, you can still make it big in the US and have a good life. my only problem here is that the US is not the same place as it use to be, especially compared to the 1990s and past, and the women here are total shit.

cool people that I have met here in the Bay Area while simply being me and not being a whimp:



Homeless guy in the business district of SF, near market and powell st. His name is Melvin. That guy is in his late 40s. He wasn't a druggie or anything; he just had loads of bad luck in his life. He was way more thoughtful and deeper thinker than 99% of all the suburban asses I grew up with. Hell, he even gave me a few cues on gaming girls and other things to know in how if a man and a girl are in it.



guy in my town on a chevron gas station. His name was Peter. Good guy, although he looked a lot like a bum, and he was a bit of hoarder (he also smoked too much). but, he also knew his shit and was an interesting guy to talk to. He also knows very well that American chicks are shit.

The false time constraint is a sort of bullshit PUA maneuver but it is useful because it indicates to strangers when and to what extent you're going to bugger right off.

I use it any time I'm talking to strangers. I have used it with friends when they clearly have better shit to do than chat.

My guess is that the vibe you were giving people was that of a dude who might just not leave. It makes people edgy. What does he want?

It's awesome that some homeless people are 100x better than rich people. It's not a California thing, there are tons of friendly people here. Problem is, there are a lot of hipsters and douchebags here who are too into their iPhone to look up and acknowledge human interaction. You can still meet great people randomly.

I also live in the Bay Area and have discussed this topic with family members. Agent47 said many things I was thinking, especially the loss of community. Urban Americans are very busy with work, school, and the stress of making money to keep up with the Joneses. Time is money, so why waste it on supposed idle chit-chat with a stranger? Besides, that stranger is glued to his iPhone or wearing headphones.

People come to the Bay Area for work or school and leave after a couple of years. Why bother to get to know someone and develop deep friendships if you are going to be moving on? There's always someplace better that you are striving for, so keep your eyes focused ahead. I've had several friends who moved away for career or housing reasons. It sucks, but this is still a beautiful place to live.

I've noticed this not only with white Americans, but all ethnic groups. Multiculturalism, while providing a great selection of ethnic restaurants and exotic women, adds to the suspicion because of the lack of common culture and shared values.

dude, all I do is just have some talks, nothing big. if anything, I am usually the one who ends conversations if they're long because I have other shit to do (actual stuff, not bullshitting around). and look, all I am saying is that your average Joe/Mary Chump doesn't like to talk and then he/she goes around bitching they can't find a "good" partner, either in person or online. as you should know, a lot of couples meet up through the random. if you're going to throw away opportunities right there, you're just limiting yourself. common sense and roosh has mentioned what I am saying.

absolutely dude. california still has cool people; it's just that the place has been getting infested with dirty and useless hipsters, douchebag and braindead rich people, and it hasn't helped that the suburbanites are too busy trying to keep up with the Joneses or they simply don't like to talk to anybody. It's why I LOVE being in SF; I could meet up with other cool people who are in the same situation as me in different suburbs of the bay area or I could meet foreigners living in the bay area, or even try it with the foreign tourists.

man, getting social networking is also a good investment. I have been in interviews where managers try to see how interviewees mingle with each other; if they try to get to know one another or they simply stay in their serious shell and never open up. it's just that Americans are getting that thought that super hyper individualism will save them when humans can't survive by simply being on our own; we need each other.

My stuff mostly covered people who are native to the bay area. I tend not to mix with transplants from other parts of the country who live here in the bay area because they tend to be weird libtards who come here thinking it's a libtard's paradise. this is not always the case, but i see it a lot. and yeah, a lot of people move in here but as I said, social networking is an excellent investment and any businessman can you tell you that straight up.

absolutely true. this whole crap is with all ethnic groups. and yeah, Im kinda getting tired of being of all around this multi-culti crap because I just want to be in a place where there's a solid identity, not multiple ones that conflict with one another.
