...have you noticed an appreciable rise in talent on online dating sites lately? A few months back POF was a reserve for whales, attention-*****s and freaks, but I'm starting to see more cute, socially well-adjusted girls pop up on the site.

I imagine in these cold, dark winter months girls are less inclined to put on that miniskirt and head out for a night on the town. It's -12 (CELSIUS) overnight in my city right now. The town an hour over got dumped with a metre of snow and effectively shut down for the remainder of the week.

I imagine it's easy to feel cold and lonely in these dark winter months trapped inside. The nesting instinct is strong.

Is online dating better in the winter?

where r u located? I am in Chicago, its just about as cold here.

I haven't really done online dating before, but I imagine it will be better at this time. U should try it out.

But u could look at it another way - the girls that still go out to bars and clubs in the winter are quite keen.

I am more of a street game guy so my main staple has sort of run out due to the horrible cold. Luckily I am moving to Tokyo from January to May so I can re-up over there...

Well, I am in Fort Lauderdale visiting friends, and guess what? tonight the temperature will drop to 32 degrees Farenheit (0 Celcius)!!!

Yeah wrap up and go buy a girl some Bourbon. When its real cold its easy to stay in and watch a movie, order some delivery, drink some wine or whiskey and have a nice warm up session.

I do know for me atleast, the cold weather def. puts a damper on my overall energy level and desire to go out and game it up. I used to love the cold, but the older I get plus years of getting beat up make my bones ache when it gets this this freakin cold outside. DC is like low 20's plus LOTS of wind lately for some reason. Sucks.

You think that's bad you should try Canada. It was minus -8 Fahrenheit the other day. To add insult to injury, I live in the second warmest city in Canada (Vancouver is the first).

This year it has felt rougher. Considering a warm city to move to in the US and A.

I live in Miami, and to us, 50F or below (about 10C) means pull out the heaters, winter coats, and light up the fireplaces weather. So, I thought that anything below freezing, women would want to fuck more since going out is a real pain: dressing up, coats, snow, freezing temps. Won't it actually work in your favor bang wise, and girls should be more receptive to just staying home and "watch a movie" (bang)?

It's a generational thing as well. Women who are, say, 20 now have had internet since before puberty and maybe even broadband. All the hot guys they are after use the internet. Also, a lot of their friends have probably met and fvcked guys successfully that way.

the guys on the internet 15 years ago were mostly hermetic non-alphas; like I was.

My younger co-worker, a 27 year old guy says women he deals with (mostly younger, he's in college) would think it's weird if he didn't have a Facebook page. Zuckerberg, founder of Facebook is Time's Man of The Year!!!

15 years ago, if his interest was in computers and he wasn't entrepreneurial in some other way, he would not be a billionaire and would not have even gotten dates.

You make a valid point. Every winter, I fcuk a lot more noobs than summer. Over here in summer, these slappers are flaky as fcuk and give more runarounds than a spiral point.
Last year for instance, I scored four new lizards in October where it was already cold as a polar bear's ass. I plugged them with astonishing ease compared to the drivel I usually experience in the summer.

For e.g, I went on a date with one to a buffet. She was slim but she loved to eat. We were there and she kept offering me oysters. I wanted to make a quip but these Canadian cakes get flustered very quickly so I had to bite my tongue and pretend I didn't know what oysters did.
