So ive been coming across a lot of reading involving bacterial vaginosis.

Ive heard it mentioned on here (and other places) that it generally means the foul smell is the girl's chemistry reacting to new sperm from a different partner.

But after doing some googling and reading most gynecologists and experts seem to agree that it can be caused by a variety of things including (but not limited to) douching, smoking, constrictive clothing (yoga pants), strong-smelling laundry detergents changing the PH etc and also new/multiple partners.

What are your guys' thoughts on this?

If a girls pussy was always fresh but one day out of nowhere its just rank, then goes back to fresh again after that- is it really a clear indicator that shes getting it from multiple fronts?

could also be poor diet or dehydration.

Think of the cause. Bacteria, right? Why would it necessarily indicate multiple partners?

It sounds like this condition occurs when the vagina's chemistry changes in such a way that it facilitates bacterial growth of a specific type. Maybe a truckload of cum is one simple way to do that, but it's not the only way.

But hey, I'm not a biologist. As far as I'm concerned, it's essential to strap up.

From what I read the sudden growth of "bad bacteria" (the type that causes BV and other infections) could be a reaction to semen, in this case, new semen.

But like you said its one of many causes. Too tight of a thong could cause it.

My thoughts are that this sounds like an old wives' tale being peddled by dudes who want to believe there's a "tell" for a chick who's cheating.

There are other easier ways to figure out if your girl is banging other dudes. You could ask her, for one - if you aren't exclusive and you are concerned about disease the least you can do is be honest with each other about whether there's anybody else (further details wouldn't be necessary).

Tell her to drink more cranberry juice and lay off the Massengil/Summer's Eve (that shit is contraindicated by major gyno research).
