It's kind of secret, but he finally fessed up to it in a recent podcast. As much as I love the guy to death, and think his red-pill credentials are rock-solid (and also claim credit for mentioning him to the forum first), he occasionally does somewhat blue-pill stuff (e.g., calling dudes who date younger girls "creepy"). I hope he got a pre-nup.

Shame he got married. I heard him mention he would on a radio show awhile ago.

He was like - 'Fuck it - I'm gonna' get married at some point. No fucking around. No pre-nup. If I get fucked over, then so be it.'

He knew it would be a risky decision. But he is a comedian - so he seemed to accept the deal as being another risk you have to take on board in life. And risk is something you get used to desling with in a career like comedy.

Basically - he just doesn't give a fuck. One of his closest friends (the comedian Patrice O'Neal) died a couple of years ago. So he seems to have the attitude of just saying 'Fuck it - I wanna' settle down - let's see how it goes'.

It is a blue pill move. Particularly without the pre-nup (which he said he won't be getting). But he knows what he is dealing with here. So he has a semi-red pill take on the situation.

In a weird sort of way. I can accept it. He knows the risks - and he won't be butthurt if it doesn't work out. That seems better than those guys who literally think the earth has more chance of ending than of their marriage ever breaking up.

I never really saw Bill as completely red pill from a relationship perspective. His material deals more with calling women and society in general on it's bullshit but not actively gaming the system like Patrice or the guys here try to do.

Still think the guy is funny as shit and got the chance to see him live recently but he was never really in complete alignment with the stuff this forum and it's constituents espouse.

I listen to his podcast on occasion, which Nia sometimes accompanies him on. She's been on shows that Patrice speaks on, and she seems pretty realistic and down-to-earth. I get the idea that she does respect BB, since she'll protest a point he makes, but then he does his usual Bill Burr thing, and then she concedes that he is, indeed, correct. They've been together for quite a long time, too, over a decade, I think. Maybe they'll get divorced, or maybe not, but I don't think he's the type to let the bastards get him down. I hope they have a happy life together.

Alpha's aren't angry at the world. Bill Bur hasn't fully swallowed the red pill, and this move shows his unwillingness to. In the five stages of grief, he's stopped at the third: bargaining. You're a wealthy, famous comedian.. that's the best you can do?

Unless a comedian really hits THE BIG TIME (i.e., they transfer to starring movie roles or land a talk show like Jim Carrey, Chris Rock, Steve Martin, Kevin Hart, Conan, Craig Ferguson, Letterman, Leno, etc.), they really aren't wealthy or famous. Standup comedy is definitely not a good route to fame and wealth. Louis C.K. has been at it for well over a decade, and though he has recognition, his highest status project is a late-night sitcom. The majority of people would only recognize Patrice O'Neal as the black guy talking head from the VH1's "Best Week Ever" show, if that. You mention Bill Burr to most folks, they'd probably go "Bill Who? The Oxy-Clean guy?" He's probably just clearing rent, utilities, and travel expenses, and has a little bit of mad money left over, like most folks.

Yeah this is pretty much what I was thinking.

Those arms are huge - there's nothing but downside here. He's fairly red-pill on a lot of things too but seems like with women he's taking a step back.

I hope he does't start turning his entire schtick into his take on marriage now.

I like Bill Burr's standup.

He's not my favorite comic but he's pretty up there (see Let It Go).

I don't really get the dudes ITT who seem to have a problem with him choosing to get married. This is something I've kind of disliked about the manosphere in general, actually; this idea that a man who gets married is somehow "selling out" or turning his back on the sphere. This might seem like a bad idea in your 20s, but can you really imagine yourself being all Mr. Interational Playboy at age 45? Kinda sounds like it would get old.

And besides, he married a black woman. I've heard some guys complain about black chicks being loud or whatever, but overall, African American isn't the demographic I usually think of when I think of spoiled chicks marrying successful dudes just to divorce and get half the money. That seems like very much a white chick thing from what I've seen.

All the examples we've seen of famous guys settling down with decidedly average women is further evidence that game is necessary enough if you are at the top. There is no manual for pulling hot tail as a rich/famous guy, and if he isn't willing to put the work and effort to figure it out, he will score far lower than his potential.

Not sure what's exactly surprising about getting married. Marriage is and has been an extremely popular and very common tradition among most human beings for thousands of years. In fact, it's highly uncommon to remain unmarried throughout one's life. Most of the guys writing in this thread were the product of a relationship within a marriage.

I also think the whole red/blue pill dichotomy is once again being manipulated to advance an agenda. Most people would see no practical benefit to remaining single or unmarried for the rest of their lives, and probably have compelling reasons for thinking that.

As for the chick on his arm, if that's what makes him happy, so be it. That's one more hot chick still on the market.

I'm going to take divorce on over 2 years. I think it will coincide with Bill's career going on the downward crest. He's getting very popular these days, once he's yesterday's news (I'll call dane cook as a comparison) I think he'll also be getting divorced.

That being said, I doubt he'll be sour grapes if it happens. He'll just call himself stupid.

A buddy of mine and I constantly debate on who is/was more 'red pill', Burr or Patrice. I think we can now safely say Bill can talk the talk but not walk the walk, unlike Patrice, a guy who regularly had threesomes with his steady bitch.
