These Japanese women will feel played if they dont get a family out of you. They know exactly what men want out of the deal, and when they give up the sex they are making a choice.

I dont condone pretending to marry these women, but I will say that they are in the Metro mag for their own benefit. Most of these women are so busy that seeing them more than a couple times a month will be hard. And Japanese women know and understand that men need more sex than twice a month.

Thought I'd do a brief update on this.

I had the last 10 days off and used that time to do some travelling in the region. I'm pleased to say I finally broke through my dry streak on my trip to Cebu (updated in one of this Phils threads).

After Cebu, I went to Naha, Okinawa for a weekend. I would recommend going there for the food, weather and landscape but not for girls. I saw some pretty ones walking around the city during the day but couldn't find any at night. I asked several locals (Japanese and westerners living in Naha) about nightlife venues and none of the places they mentioned were worthwhile.

Rehab Bar in Kokusai Dori was mentioned by several people. Turned out to be practically empty at 12.30. Only a couple of middle aged white guys who used to be in the US Army and were now living in Naha. Fantasy Space is a large club just off Kokusai Dori with 5 different floors. I got there around 1am Friday night, only 2 floors were open and those 2 were only about 25% filled. A lot of the girls there were bigger than you would find in other parts of Japan (typical of Okinawa?). I saw 2 American army guys grinding/kissing on the dancefloor with ghettoish looking j-girls (large tattoos on arms etc). When I saw the girls up close, I actually think they may have been half Japanese and half white or black.

Also checked out a couple of smaller bars on Kokusai Dori but can't remember the names.

I stayed in the Tune Hotel Naha which was nice enough and a short walk from Kokusai Dori. If you do decide to visit Naha, you should check out Shuri-jo castle which is spectacular. Also try out the local dishes and Orion beer which are amazing.

On the subject of mixed race people in Japan, before coming to Japan I always thought mixed race people were somewhat looked down upon in Japan. Since coming here, however, several people have told me that they are actually generally considered to be more physically attractive than 100% Japanese people. I've been told that if you ask a girl "haufu desu ka" (are you mixed race) is actually considered a compliment.

Anywayz, am back in Tokyo now and am confident the j girl flag will be coming shortly. Have already lined up some dates over the next two weeks and things are (finally) looking promising.

It would be more like $2000 per month (200,000 yen) as a minimum, and you need to be earning that amount in Japan i.e. not just from your internet business. That visa is more for professionals who are already working in Japan and want to transition to self-sponsorship.

Apart from setting up your own company in Japan, which will be very expensive (e.g. you need to rent physical office space) it's pretty hard to get a visa to live in Japan without landing a job.

Another option is to get a student visa and study Japanese. You can stay for up to two years that way.

If anyone has found a better solution to how someone with a moderate location-independent income can stay long-term in Japan, I'm all ears.

These are the hardest stations to crack. I recommend trying other stations (Tamachi, Roppongi, Ueno, etc. ) I've been there before - talking to a stone wall for nearly 10 mins before she cracked a smile and opened up.
