Hi guys.

I have been going to night clubs for like 15 months, and while some of you clearly have a lot more experience than me, I thought I would be able to give my opinion on it.

I usually go to a night club which has 3 types of scenes: 1 that is clearly "nightclub", with techno, électro and top40 bullshit. 1 with 70-80s ( french and american songs),more like a bar than a club, and one with 90-2000s hit songs (officially 25 years old and higher). Now people can switch, and go from each scene to another, so I enter in each place several times during the night.

So I am a young black guy, with a baby face (you think I am max 19-20 when you see my face, while I am 22), 139 lbs for 5'11" and I can be rated as a 5 - 6 max, if I am generous.

Usually I go solo dolo, don't have the patience to befriend groups or the like, so I go in the floor and dance.
I have greatly improved my moves, and I can say that I am always in the top 2 dancers in every scene. So the first times, I decided I would focus more on the nightclub, and dance more sexy, to hook up. Many times the (young) girls would check me out (and still do) . However, when I go near them and approach, they say no, and turn me down. Afterwards I see some guys (most of the time it's the 6' 2" and the like, even though I am not short) who can't dance for shit, but get large smiles, dances, and makeouts . At the very least they are all well received, whereas I stand next to them, dance sexy( and I know I dance well, many people told me so), to no avail.

After experiencing this too many times I decided to give up that scene, and focus on the 70-80 one especially, since I can dance rock too (not perfect, but I do better than the standard guys who just do the basic spins). What happens actually, is that girls are more open to dance with me, the older ones give me far more positive cues, and I dance easy with those 25-30-35 girls. Actually I got my first ONS, and SNL ( my unique one, to this day) in that scene, and it was with a 30 years old woman. However, it is very rare to get more than a dance with these women, and I feel like I wasted my time again whenever I go to that scene. And I just don't want to game them via discussion, and the like. I just want to do like Samseau: dance, makeout (sometimes), then go to her place.

After solving this puzzle and putting things two by two, I arrived to the following conclusion:
the young girls will gladly dance and makeout on the floor with someone who has good dancefloor skills, but only if they find him handsome ( point is that they would have still done that if he just danced average, or a bit bad). The "wall girls" who are not so young anymore however will dance easily with you, but you get more from talking with them, in a "bar game" style, than if you wanted to game them by dancing.


So, seeing that I want to exploit my dancefloor skills, but do not attract women with my face (as it seems: no reason to hide behind a veil, I am just not handsome), what do I do? Because my talking game is not that good either , and I find it boring and tirening to discuss with a whole group and entertain them. The ideal for me would be finding a girl with not many friends (2 max), dance with her, build rapport WHILE dancing, makeout with here, fix the logistics then leave with her.

TLDR: how to take the most profit out of my dance skills, while I am not the pretty or ripped boy the girls want when they go out, and don't want to do talking game (just a bit, while dancing) ?

It's about confidence. And also the type of dancing. The reason I say confidence is because women are attracted to confident men. Unless you're hideously deformed. I'm no male model but I can get girls on the floor, and I'm middle aged. When I was 18 I looked fifteen, but I was quick witted and had a sense of humor. I recommend Latin dance. It's all about showcasing the woman, BUT THE MAN LEADS AND CONTROLS THE FLOW. That's what's sexy about Salsa, and Tango. Find a few spots to build up you're familiarity, and where you're recognized. You have to establish a comfort level for them and you.

There are two things you can do to instantly boost your dance floor game success.

First, is pack on some muscle.

Being 5'11 and 139 pounds is really light. Get on a solid weight training routine and put on 10-15 pounds of muscle within 6 months as a beginner and your dance floor game success will skyrocket.

The second thing is change up your dancing.

Maybe you do some of this already, but the most important part of dance floor game is to distinguish yourself from any other guy she has danced with before. Any guy can spin the girl and grind on her ass. I often times see many guys doing a basic spin that leaves spinning on its own almost useless, besides being an opener.

Get creative. Do double spins. Cross overs. Lifts and dips. Wrap her around you and squat. Salsa moves to the music. Spin her by the waist forcefully. Pull her towards you by grabbing her dress and tugging. Spin her and break off the spin while spinning yourself while having her hand trailing against you. Take control of her hands, and use it to guide her along your body. Pull her hair as she grinds on you and raise both her hands behind your head and let her play with your hair.

Use the crowd, stretch your arms out while holding her hand and spread yourselves apart so everyone can move and watch you and then spin her as you pull her towards you. The amount of confidence it takes to bring attention to yourself like this is very powerful and attractive.

I've done lots of dance floor game this year, enough that I can consider myself very experienced, although I'm no master.

The dance floor can be a trap. You put your self in a position where girls can disprove you quicker with little chance at a rebound. I find I rely on dancefloor game when my game is lazy or I feel impatient. Yeah I can pull of the dance floor but it's better to use it as a transition tool from the actual physical bar or spot your posted up.

If your a brother just remember that 90% of us can dance. Babies can jam out to MJ, we have a skill to easily pick up rhythm. A lot of brothers rely on dancefloor game and it can basically mesh you into the pack of they initial perception of you. I find girls whom are receptive to dancefloor game really have warped views of what they like or want. I try not to play into that.

You will find more luck in chatting girls up at the bar as then transitioning onto the dancefloor to get kino and makeouts going. I use this tactic with more success since I don't have to talk while in dancing with these broads. After a while of chatting them up I get bored so I use the floor to kill time and build up attraction to my end goal of getting her into a cab with me.

Find girls away from the floor. The dance floor isn't broken it's just you are using it as a means to start your game instead of being a means to bridge or end it. Those sick moves you have should be a dagger to swoon her into your frame as a fun guy she wants to sleep with.

In a honesty I am trying to think of a broad whom I pulled purely from start to finish off the dance floor and I can't even remember. It's been a while and I have been doing this 10+ years now....

I already have a long post on dance floor that no one really read/posted I won't re type it so here is your move after you read that thread.

1. Lie. Say you're a foreigner say you're from xxx country (whatever dance you learned) if salsa since you're a brother use the DR.
2. Wear a suit I can tell you don't wear one from the post alone
3. Until you get to at least 150lbs you're far too skinny, legs chest and back. Most importantly your upper back to develop a V taper.
4. Do not go to the dance floor to approach girls, that's for good looking guys who run aggressive game, stand at the choke point from bar to dance floor back to bar and open there
5. You're not screening for attraction. When you're dancing the last thing you should care about is the girl you're dancing with if you know she doesn't find you attractive to begin with, you look around in your peripheral vision to see who likes you, cut the dance short (mentioned in thread) and then reinitiate only if interest is shown.

If you can't screen you will never be good at dance floor game as an average looking guy. Don't be average, gain weight, dress better no more "dance floor approaches" only post and pull.

WestCoast I have read your post on dance floor game. I was wondering what your dance style was like.

Mine is very similar to what I linked in the video above.

I'm always interested in learning about other dancers' styles. My own is a product of calibration and observation, I've always adopted what I've learned from other skilled dancers and made a unique style out of it.

You made a good point though. There's a great breakdown on dance floor game you wrote, which will help him. HOWEVER, the biggest thing he's missing is that ALL game results are biased. The better you look, the more money you have, the more famous you are, and the more you look like a particular girl's "type" the easier you will have it. Period.

The caveat? No matter any of those things, you can end your chances with a girl if your frame and your game is non-existant/negative.

You can't apply "dance floor game" without applying the basis of game in the first place and one of the essentials of game is to recognize and capitalize on attraction as well as to build it (sometimes seemingly out of thin air).

IMO you're thinking is bit messed up from the start.

No stranger cares what you want (in this case not talking to them).

Game to me is about finding what the other person want's and playing off of that. So if they want to chat, that's what you do. Or you suffer the consequences.

If you're going to go for a rave Booty you better be ready to pop that Molly. If you want to do the rave scene *drug free* you need to have the right vibe, people should be offering you Molly within the first 30 mins of walking into the spot. High energy high energy friendly friendly touchy lights lights lights high energy touchy lights friendly high energy. Life of the party. Dial into the girls who DONT shuffle. The chicks who shuffle (rave) and can pop (hip hop) are the ones there for attention and have a shit ton of orbiters at the spot. (Always exceptions Yada Yada) you b-line it for the chicks in pairs or solo just "moving with the beat"

Dance floor game is not effective in the rave scene because there is no partner dance, anyone in the rave scene who has been rolling more than once will definitely be fine but not because of any partner dance floor game.

All that is for another thread though. The Xtac scene and the coke scene have the hottest chicks and it's not even debatable.

Dance floor game, partner dancing, you can do it in a suit or without.

The OP is just ridiculously young and hasn't learned how to screen chhicks (yet), he doesn't have the body type he should have (yet), he doesn't know the beats to the different music genres (yet). For every "yet" you can erase in the game of life your game will go through the roof all upside.

I have been to raves a few times. I am in the Phoenix area, so they have been legit raves. Seriously, it has never been about showing off dance moves.

The guys that I have seen kill it in the rave scene are jacked guys who either show up shirtless or showing off their muscles in the best way possible.

IMO, the rave scene revolves around people (men and women) with hot bodies hooking up, the people who wish they were hot and of course, lots and lots of ecstasy.

If you are looking to kill it in the rave scene, you either better start dealing Molly/ecstasy or start hitting the gym hardcore. Otherwise, you are better off in a scene that focuses less on those two things.

^ yep. That's why the best ones are outdoors like ultra. Dance floor game is nonexistent because there isn't partner dancing.

Dance floor game imo is about looking good and being aggressive. Cave man style or whatever u want to call it. Its very direct and has a high risk/benefit ratio. "Cool" dance moves don't really matter where I role its more about being confident and aggressive right from the get go (aka no standing around/dancing by yourself on the floor, just find a target and if u get some ioi's go right for the grind/spin)

Christ I guess things really change in 15 or so years since I was going... It used to be the liquid crews who would clean up on the dance floor... the hot raver chicks would BEG to get white gloves. Those douche bags who rip off their shirts were laughed out of the scene. Raves used to be all fun fur, hoodies, baggy jeans and glowsticks.

Anyway that dancing is still applicable in nightclubs, I go quite often with my wife and we really put on a show.

For the record, I'm a pretty good dancer and I've never used DRUGS ever... but I always get asked 'What I'm on?'... I take chicks and dudes over into a corner and tell them "J man... its all J!", then they say "where do I get some of that J?" and I tell just to accept Jesus into their life... you should see these peoples mouthes drop. As a gag a friend use to get some water and put it into a small vial and do the same routine but say "here, use this, it'll keep the demons away!". I hate being asked for drugs, its a fuckin insult to the hours I put in to learn all the moves and put them together correctly.

BTW chicks who dance, LOVE dudes who dance, THEY will ask for YOUR number. And they are always in REALLY fine ass shape.

I think different dance floor strategies work for different people, but basic game still applies. It's very hard to pull a girl from a 3-set or bigger and DHV is always important. This post makes me think of a book, "The System". It's mostly about day game, but there's also a chapter on clubbing and dance floor game. It's definitely a worthwhile read.

I'm a better than average dancer but i still think opening girls on the dance floor gives about the lowest percentage of success there is. Then totally by accident I came up with a dance floor method that really works because it is DHV. You need the right set up but when u find it you're good. Also you need a lot of confidence because you're going to need to use a Tier I girl to get your DHV.

- find a club with a good number of HBs where the dance floor is not crowded. You need to stand out in some way (tall, peacocking, suited up). For this to work everybody will need to notice you. If you are black in a place with few blacks that might work too.

- from the side of the dance floor wait til at least one HB is dancing solo. Walk straight out to a point in front of her and start dancing. Do NOT make eye contact, stay far enough away so that you don't invade her space and she doesn't think you are trying to dance with her. Stay close enough so that anybody who is watching thinks you are dancing together. Start showing your moves so people look at you, but dont over do it. If you don't try to make eye contact your HB won't back off, she will be curious why you don't care about her and she'll start watching you. If she does back off, leave the dance floor, girls will notice and this won't work.

- after a song or a few minutes, start to look around. Any girl who is watching to see who that guy is who is dancing with the HB is now a good target. Dance over to her and do the same thing. If she looks interested you can open her. If she is also hot and you were able to get her talking then you can go to the bar with her or if the first HB is watching to see if that's your girl, you can go back to her and open her.

If you are confident and the HBs stay in, this works.

If you want results (Womenz!) you will have to be more flexible/adaptable.

Your way is a great start since most guys arent good dancers. But you still have to bring more to the table in terms of looks because clubs are the most competitive environments you'll run into.

You guessed what the problem is. The women are not choosing you because they are not attracted to what they see.

You say you are not handsome. Maybe your just not masculine either way hit the gym, and put on 20-25 lbs. Dress like a man then come back to the club scene and let us know the results.

You are a brotha in France with tight dance game, take care of your front and you should kill it ... provided you pick the right venues.

Alternatively, you could walk out when there isn't anyone on the floor, hold it for as long as possible and when you walk off, people are going to be coming up to you and asking you all sorts of stupid questions or buying you beer/inviting you to there table (to give them social proof). I usually have the DJ cut in and spotlight me but that puts a lot of pressure to perform, would prefer they don't do that... I've never had to start a conversation, mostly women just come up to me. That's in Canada though, generally guys will be the ones to do that in Asia (maybe thats cause I'm married)... anyway trust me on this one, learn to dance well if you want to be THAT GUY, in a club. I love that butterflies in the stomach feeling, if you don't like that feeling, don't hit the clubs, these guys are right, competition is fierce.

Only way to blow out the club douches is to have tight dancing skills, every single guy in that club is in the gym and dressing well, you've got to stand out. If you are hitting clubs cause of the women, its going to show... if instead you go there because you enjoy being around people, music and dancing, you are going to attract people like flies to sh1t. People can instantly tell who is a wannabe and who is legitimately enjoying themselves. Everyone wants to be with a guy who is fun and knows how to get others involved... Secondly, people who like stuff, get together and make things bigger right? Go find a dance crew or locate people who like doing the style you are into, flying solo isn't going to do you any favors. We come here to talk about all the stuff that we are into and people read the posts and want to contribute. The club is no different, people are going to see a group of guys busting it out and having fun and they are going to want to join in or be a part of THAT group. The problem comes when you get the snotty breakdancers who think they are 'the sh1t', don't be that guy, be the friendly guy that wants to talk and bring more people into the fold.

Agreed though, club game is BS... I wouldn't want to put my hands down on some chicks sweaty poutine..yuck.
