They took it too far and hit him first - no court would ever convict him on that video. But only the video saves him - if it was "he said/she said" he'd be in real trouble.

The woman was whipping an emotional frenzy in herself... you could literally see her going from one level to the next...and the other girl giving into it as well.

I bet she thought she was being assertive by getting in the black man's face, getting a photograph of...his vehicle license plate was it?..you could almost sense how proud she was of herself...

It was almost like one of the fights between a beta-husband and his bitchy unsatisfied wife. She starts whipping up an emotional maelstrom, the guy tries to just keep away (not forcefully, mind you, just ... keeps away), the woman unchecked goes even more ballistic, finally drives the beta husband to do something foolish like hitting her or breaking up furniture...the woman gets a high out of all the drama plus the guy's reaction, she's turned on by the quasi-violence,plus she gets to file a complaint and play the victim.

I bet you this dumb bitch will relish in the memories of this event for a long time to come. How she showed a N***** (insert shaming stereotype) his rightful place.
All she needed was a firm hand and a strong frame from the man...some man...any man.

This is something I worry about. Does anyone know if there is an online class or something you can take in self-defense that will tell you what you're legally allowed to do?

For example, if he was to pull a gun and put one between her eyes, I assume he'd get arrested. But between that and blocking her hits, there is a lot of grey area.

I think that guy must've lived wherever this happened. I think he handled it well, he did not provoke shit and responded only when struck. The only way he could have been better if he was a robot and said something like 'you are making me feel like my safety is threatened, stop or I will have to take action.' Then pounding her into oblivion when she came at him again.

The question is the legality of self defense especially when the assailant is a woman.

Assault is assault regardless of sex. There is nothing specifically illegal about hitting a woman although the trend is to give harsher punishments to a man who assaults women due to the societal view of them being weaker sex. I would like to see feminists campaign against that.

Self defense laws vary from state to state, as many are aware of now. Regardless of the laws of your state if you find yourself in a need to defend yourself with force, your best bet is to play it safe and use only the amount of force needed to remove the threat.

He should have knocked that bitch out and then calmly walked away and reported it himself. One hitter quitter. Teach her a lesson in pain. Then teach her a lesson in reality and file assault charges on her.

The key is to not use excessive force. One punch and shes out can easily be argued as self defense when she was initiating the confrontation like she did.

Her video also does nothing for her. The idiot looks in the camera and smiles, goes back to fighting, then walks away smiling referencing the video. She is then going to go to court trying to act like the victim. Bitch needs a lesson in congruence.

edit - if this is recent and goes to court, we should help support this dude. Find information on the jury and do some cyber snooping, a single feminist comment on facebook,twitter,G+, whatever and we can forward the information to his lawyer.

I didn't think of that idea. Its like a confident assertion of position "hello yes, I'd like to report an assault" and then when the police show up he could assert his fear for safety and that he defended himself.
