My favorite part was when Rick stabbed that guy in throat, got drenched in his blood, stands there and just says "What?".

The pacing and the writing hasn't been this good since Season 3 with the Governor (although I could do with out the Sasha/Abraham/Rosita love triangle) as they keep building up the anticipation to Negan's on-screen debut.

They need to take better care of their doctors, even if this one was a moron. They are not easy to replace.

The writers are getting dumber and putting the town in unnecessary risk when they have all of the fighters go out at the same time.

When are they going to kill off carol? She is changing from grambo to ghandi, yet still killing with a magical gun that can fire full automatic rifles bullets from a hand gun.

I have to hand it to the producers, writers and director. While I've enjoyed the show since it's beginning, the first season had some bad acting (the played-out abusive husband trope, for example) and even the Governor in season 3-4 was a bit too much of a typically "charismatic" TV character. They tried to give him some depth, which was somewhat successful, but I still found him a little boring.

There's nothing boring about Negan. He's fearful, terrifying, disturbing and yet admirable. While it's easy to predict that Rick will eventually keep his promise to kill him, he's a genuine villain who will keep viewers glued to their screens (at least if they can stomach this season).

This show has definitely matured over time.

I wish we could have just one season that focused on civilization building instead of interpersonal and intercommunity conflict. We were almost there in season 5, but then new conflicts and challenges were introduced.

I didn't like how they spent a whole episode on making Rick look bad instead of people actual doing things and advancing the plot. I suppose they had to: They spent the second half of season 6 with Rick & Co. picking off Saviors easily so they have to make them a legit threat now.

The drawing the line on Carl's arm was extremely disturbing for me to watch and what Rick was about to do next. Its a shame this show has no nudity though. Missed opportunities with Maggie and pigtails.

This episode was more gory and disturbing than most of the stuff that's on HBO, Showtime etc. And I bet entire families were sitting around watching it too. Don't get me wrong, I'm not pretending to be some moral compass but no wonder some of the kids today are so fucked up and this kind of twisted shit on TV ain't helping.

I don't think we're going to see much of Darryl. There's also Amanda Bearse, err, I mean Carol, and technically Morgan's been a survivor since Season 1 despite not having been on screen for a while.

They didn't have to off Glen for the story, but I think they did it to give Paul Rovia, I hate calling him "Jesus", more screentime and a bigger role in the Ricktatorship.

I just watched this episode, and it was pretty damn extreme. I was thinking Lloyd Kaufman directed it, the gore was too over the top, even for me. And this is on basic cable.

Interestingly, if they'd cut off Rick's hand like they teased a couple times, they would have reset the cast to be on par with the comics.

In the comics, both Abraham and Glenn are dead. Abraham's death scene went by without him getting killed (walking down the road towards the bullet factory with Eugene. He got a crossbow bolt in the back of the head.) And Glenn died by Lucille.

So they teased us about the hand, but now we're pretty much on par with the comics. Except we no longer have Andrea, who was the town sniper - she was replaced by the black chick.

The comics get pretty interesting (and civilization buildy) from here on out after the war with the saviors.
