I've been in the puerto de santa maria area near cadiz now for about 3 months and I'm kind of dying over here. Not much in the data sheets about this place. The chicks are hot but everybody knows how the Spanish are. Let me know what y'all know. I can be going to Cadiz and Sevilla everyday either but as of yet that's my best lead.

I went to a hip-hop night in Sevilla in some club next to the university downtown. Women were very receptive in there. It was definitely torture walking around seeing some of the most beautiful women in the world who don't give foreigners a second thought

How are the Spanish? Spain has been on my radar for somewhere to disappear to for a long time, possibly set up shop there.
I tend to picture is somewhat like a safer South America with a better economy.

Well right now the economy kind of sucks but that's relative to where in south America and what industry your in. If you can make something from nothing your golden any where. The women are hot and i have boys that get it out here but twelve been here a while and have a better handle on the language. As far as safe goes.... I feel safe in the projects in New Orleans hear its like nobody is even remotely threatening. There's no guns and the biggest problems are just making sure you lock your house and car. People Will boost your shit just like anywhere in the world.

I partied in cadiz this weekend it was tight. I'll drop a data sheet on it as soon as I get a little more farmiliar with it and the areas. It's a really small city but it was popin for a friday night in the middle of DEC. I imagine carinival and the summer months will bring in more bitches and better times.In the mean time I need to be setting up my circle and racking up some notches.

I was at Rota for about a year about a decade ago.

We went to Seville or Marbella every weekend we weren't busy killing terrorists. You need to go to Seville during the spring festival deal. All the women wear wacky dresses, drink and fuck like rabbits.

There's a few decent bars in and around Cadiz. As I recall a few Irish pubs, one of which was very welcoming to US military folks. Lots of local women went there.

There's decent surfing in the immediate area, the water just always struck me as a little dirty. I believe the big popular break was called Malaka or something like that.

I know quite a bit about Andalusia but it might not be relevant to your purposes.

First, do you speak Spanish? The Spanish in general don't speak English as well as other parts of Europe, and Andalusia more so. While Seville itself is a thoroughly modern world city, In Puerto de Santa Maria you are in the heart of flamenco country. Not only will you encounter few English speaking locals, the Andalusian accent/dialect can be tough if you are used to Castillian or American Spanish dialects. There is also a lot of Gitano slang words in the dialect as well, making it harder.

If you are looking for nightlife and partying, especially if your Spanish is bad or rusty, Seville is the place to go. If you like the coast/Cadiz, look for the tourist areas, you are likely to find English and German women on vacation that you may have more luck with than the locals. If your Spanish is good and you want some local culture, check out Jerez de la Frontera, especially if you like flamenco or toreo. If you are interested, this is probably the best part of the world to try to get a Gitano flag, as the Andalusian gypsies tend to look a lot better than their central/eastern European Cigani cousins, and are more open to outsiders too.

If you like relaxing on a beach, the southern shore of the old city of Cadiz is amazing. The beaches are nestled between the medieval city walls and the ocean with very few tourists. Rota, which is just west of you, is also nice. You'll encounter Americans there as there is a naval base. My father was stationed there in the 80s. Its also not unusual to find impromptu parties (juergas) on the beaches. If you don't speak Spanish these will be largely impenetrable though.

The party center of Andalusia is probably Malaga, but its a bit of a trip from where you are. Its also 50%+ tourists most of the year. Cordoba, Granada and Jaen in the east are nice for history and architecture, but more socially conservative, and the accent gets thicker in the east.

If you are a wine snob, you are also in the middle of Sherry country. Check out the local vino. The Brandy de Jarez I particularly enjoy as well.

edit- the previous poster mentioned the "spring festival deal", thats Semana Santa (Holy Week), and you already missed it, its in March. Semana Santa varies considerably depending where in Spain you are. In some of the smaller or more conservative cities its tends toward somber religious observance. In Seville or Malaga however, its a total piss up. If you are still there next March, definitely attend.

Meh, you don't really have to be tall here. There's a ton of short, petite chicks. It's rare to see any that are taller than me, and I'm a manlet (5'9"). Spanish however is pretty much required, the level of English in my target market is quite low.

The Costa de la Luz around Cádiz and its surrounding towns and villages is the best place to be in summer. It's magical. And unlike other areas in Southern Spain it has not been completely taken over by tourists yet. Most summer tourists in towns like Conil are actually Spaniards. There's a ton of beautiful stuff to see, and gaditanos are great people.

The girls can be a bit tough as a foreigner but it is not impossible. I even had alright Tinder matches in Jerez.

I am not sure yet if I am going again this year but if so I will try to provide more detailed info.
